Rebill without a sale ??
I have this issue. There is a ccbill sponsor I tried to promote. Didn't give me any results. Ratio is on 0 : 10436 right now. So I dropped them. Today I got a rebill from that sponsor. But I never made 1 sale at all, so that looked strange to me.
I contacted ccbill about this matter and they tell me to contact the owner of the site to find out what happened. To quote ccbill : It appears that the webmaster assigned you to this sale. Please contact them for more information. I will contact him of course but I was wondering. How many of you guys ever got a rebill before you ever made a single sale with that sponsor ?:error |
Hmm...nice!
|
Get with the sponsor and see what they say. I would love to hear this one.
|
Sounds like the time Lady Sonia had me set on no rebills and ccbill could not find a damned thing.
|
interesting!
|
bump for more info :)
|
Sounds like the sponsor may have credited you a sale... probably hoping to keep you as an affiliate!

I think it's from those magic join links.

wow, really interesting.
could be a few things, but sounds pretty shady. Maybe they see you had dropped traffic so they decided to "add" a sale and made it a rebill by mistake. Maybe they were shaving and 1 rebill got through. But wierd in any case..... Let us know what you hear. |

I think the sponsor credited you a sale trying to keep you interested. It didn't show up as an initial sale because that's only going to pop up when CCBill's system initially records it. If you search your records, I'll bet you got paid for the initial sale even though it didn't show up as an official sale in your stats. |
we had a problem with a ccbill sponsor changing hands and ccbill account and in this process the previous rebills were lost, lost i mean to us, they werent being transfered to new account. one solution was the program owner credited us sales, but this was only possible to make with sales they have without an affiliate id.
Maybe they wanted to credit another webmaster, since i dought they would credit you to stay, since you have such a bad ratio. |

But then, why would a sponsor give me a present, while I have the worst ratio ever ? Dean from ccbill is looking into it at this moment so we'll see what comes out. |
Has this been resolved? Bump for names.
|
not possible...
|
Interesting.
|
love to see what ccbill said as this is virtually impossible
|
In CCbill's admin, with every sale, there is a link that you can click that would assign the sale to an affiliate of your choosing....I've never clicked the link so I don't know the whole process.

Interesting...!

I got a reply from the paysite:
Hi, figured out what happened with this sale. First off, Marcus, all initial sales are paid 50%. The program where you didn't get paid on your sale was a program we ran for a few days. It was a "trial" program ie: "$ 4.95 for 2 days access" which rebills into a $ 19.95 for 30 days access. That program was not set up right and turned out not to be very profitable. The Affiliate sale on the "trial" was not set up for a 50/50 split. The Affiliate only recieved 50% of the rebill. We ran it for a couple days and pulled the plug on it. Your sale must have come thru when we ran this special. You didn't get 50% of the initial sale of $ 4.95, but you did get 50% of the rebill. Now, in regards to all regular sales, yes, any normal sale is paid out 50/50 split. Thanks, I hope this clears things up. Alpha Sky Productions The Apple Twins |
congrats to the apple twins professionals ...

Also the second I saw the signature on this it just struck me as super fucking funny. I really did not think these people could mess up anything more than they already have and well they outdid their selves yet again. |
:1orglaugh I am in the same situation! I have a rebill going from them as well :) it also struck me as odd, but I was pretty damn sure they would never credit a sale just to be nice.
EDIT: although I am under 1:200, and 1:1000 from raws landing on my landing page. |
very weird
|
Well I do have to admit.. they sure know how to quickly cancel an affiliate account quickly and accurately....
Let's not be so harsh on them.. they are top notch! |
That happened to me before with another program and I asked about it and they TOOK it from me!
lol, wasn't mine it was some mistake |
Just got an email that they ( Alpha Sky Productions ) are switching to Zombaio as a billing processor.
So if I get this right all my galleries submitted to tgp's have non working links on them in a few days ? i'll quote a part of the email: Quote:

WTF I just checked my individual ccbill stats for alphasky due to this thread and YEP I have had 2 of these rebills without initial sale too.
|
very cool :)
|
Hi we found another way other way to screw you.
We found having multiple billers on the sign up page without a affiliate link that will work was not enough and the odd greedy affiliate still made a sale here and there. So we added a trial link that paid no one regardless, however we forgot to turn off the rebills duhhh.:) Here is a pic of our boobs to make up for it (Inset bubble bath pic here) Why anyone wastes there hard earned traffic with these guys is beyond me. |

So Alpha Sky, where is my money? 2 rebills, shouldn't I have gotten paid for the initial join too? :1orglaugh |
