I saw a real Russian Mafia Family at Brunch today..
 

I went to eat brunch as one of Milwaukee's historic hotels, The Pfister....Our table was near a family of folks who were obviously well off....When I saw them by the buffet food, I heard them speaking Russian.....A couple of the men looked like they had just finished killing someone last night..

Then at the head of the table was a well dressed short bald chubby man who everybody seemed to respect...Also, they had bottles of vodka set up on the table so the patrons could just reach and pour their own...

Then while I had to be discreet and sneak out some prime rib and some ham in a ziploc bag that I brought with me, they actually had takeout boxes given to them to bring food with them even after they had stuffed themselves with food.

I wonder what major drug deals they are discussing over some vodka and cigars back at their hideout?

why did you have to take food home in a ziploc bag? if you can afford to go to brunch at a nice hotel you don't have to be doing that

you also could have done what the Russian family did and they would have put the food your table didn't finish in the same box as the family got

It was a brunch BUFFET....You already know it's in bad taste to take food home at a buffet....Some of the lower end buffets strictly prohibit it...I assumed that it would be prohibited there also.

i don't see anything wrong with asking for a doggy bag and even fine restaurants do it glady from what I know - that's why i thought it was funny that BVF felt he had to bring a ziploc and do it on the sly - they want you to come back - nobody at a buffet eats so much that the restaurant doesn't make a good profit on you, even big guys who pile their plates 3 times.

OH MY GOD this slice of ham that I had the chef pan fry in some butter is just to DIE for!!!!! ....Now it's time to pan fry the leftover prime rib in some bacon fat.....

I went to a Russian Mob wedding in Long Island about 7 years ago. The brides side was connected and my high school buddy was the groom. It was the sickest most over the top lavish event I have ever attended.

Needless to say there were many 'businessmen' conducting business and the vodka flowed freely into the wee hours as we smoked our Cubans and soaked up the entertainment.
