Interesting conversation about tube sites today

My step daughter is in town, we went to dinner tonight. She's in the Army, based in Korea, she asked me how the tube sites where affecting our industry.....they had to be hurting us??? She said all her guy friends went to the tube sites all the time, and named off alot of the big ones. She said to them, yeah, but that's got to suck for the people trying to make a living off selling porn! Interesting to here that from someone outside of our industry

I had basically the same conversation with a friend of mine a while back. He is always asking me for cool sites to check out. But he has always wanted to join sites. He has had a membership to one site or another every month every since I have known him (about 6 years). So he starts telling me how he and the guys he works with go on redtube and email each other links to the nastiest stuff they can find. He then says, you know I don't think I will be joining anymore site anytime soon. He has nothing to do with the industry and was a paying customer until about a year ago now he just hits up the tube sites.

He asked me how they were hurting my business and I told him I personally haven't seen the crunch, but I know a lot of people are.

I've been lucky too and sales haven't been too bad for me, not great, but not horrid. But I know alot of people are really hurting lately! :( We all hear alot of people bitching about tube sites in the industry, but it really is eye opening when you hear others outside of the industry mentioning them.

LOL!!!!! I'll never get how the tube site owners don't get that! Even my step daughter said, how do these sites even make money??? They give everything away for free, who is going to buy anything?

Glad that some people outside of the industry understands our concerns with tube sites. It seems we're not alone.

Interestingly enough I read the same stuff when looking at non-adult user forums and the topic veers off to adult entertainment. Given the power of web 2.0 and social media, the idea of 'full version porn = free' spreads really fast.

She isn't exactly an outsider if she is your daughter.
