ICQ On Iphone
ICQ On Iphone
Cannot seem to find a plugin for ICQ or AIM On Iphone 3G. I did google it but all I found was articles on how to "Break Out" your phone then intall a new installer app. etc. I don't want to fuck up my phone and like the iphone because it's easy to use like all mac products.. Help! |
Bump for you, one of the reasons holding me back on buying one is the lack of that feature

The free AIM iPhone App will allow you to login to ICQ. Just enter your ICQ # and password and it will sign in.
|
The is an actual ICQ free app in the social network category that you can download.
|
Most, if not all, of the free instant messaging iphone apps support the ICQ protocol.
No need to google or jailbreak your iphone, simply open the app store (it's the blue icon with a big 'A' on your iphone home screen) search for 'instant messaging' and you should get lots of results. |
Try palringo
|
Someone should take your iphone away for you searching google and shit before just searching the app store.
Both AIM & ICQ apps are available. Both let you login to either or. |
I use BeejiveIM on mine, I think I paid $15 or so for it.
You can configure it to "stay online" after application exit and forward all messages by mail. [email protected] will foward the mail as a SMS message :winkwink: The Iphone does not support having "background processes" so you can't have something running while using the phone for other things |
ok so I installed Palringo.
got an issue with it. Do you have to add each one of your contact one by one by hand ? I was looking for something where you add your ICQ, AOL account details and it sucks down all your contact instantly. Like trillian for pc or Adium for the mac.. ps.. I love Adium, the way the green duck flaps its wings when I get a message. |
Thanks for the given links up there.
