Watched this last night. It was interesting however I don't think I was really in the mood for a documentary type film last night. I guess some people thought it was a great film or at least Sean Penn's performance was outstanding as he got an Oscar for best actor.

Plot
----
Using flashbacks from a statement recorded late in life and archival footage for atmosphere, this film traces Harvey Milk's career from his 40th birthday to his death. He leaves the closet and New York, opens a camera shop that becomes the salon for San Francisco's growing gay community, and organizes gays' purchasing power to build political alliances. He runs for office with lover Scott Smith as his campaign manager. Victory finally comes on the same day Dan White wins in the city's conservative district. The rest of the film sketches Milk's relationship with White and the 1978 fight against a statewide initiative to bar gays and their supporters from public school jobs

It's a good movie :)

I watched it,

and I definitely thought it was overrated.

I mean the movie was good, but it wasn't anything extraordinary.

I'll check it.

The movie was fine but Penn was great.

Seems to be a good one...

I was going to watch it a few times last night , but picked others in its place:winkwink:

never heard of it ,ill check it

that cave you live in must be way out in the boonies.

Didn't watch it because I didn't have the mood,but I will one of these days,a big reason being Sean
