There's a new Night Rider? And it's canceled? I'm bummed if I missed it. :(

Scootermuze 03-11-2009 02:29 PM

According to NBC's site, tonight is the season finale.. Nothing about cancellation or series finale..

JimmiDean 03-11-2009 02:30 PM

On December 3, 2008, NBC reduced its season order to 17 episodes.[6] The five remaining scripts will be utilized if the show is renewed for a second season. The season finale aired on March 4, 2009. It was officially canceled by NBC on March 5, 2009.

It was so bad you had to watch. I don't know why it was cancelled.

justsexxx 03-11-2009 05:12 PM

The new Knight rider was really really bad. I loved the original(still do) but the new version...Damn...

well theres no proof yet that it was cancelled. i doubt they would cancel it. it should be back next year.

TheLegacy 03-11-2009 06:48 PM

It simply didn't have the sizzle of the original. Not corny enough but mostly just had way to many scenes that were predicable.

fris 03-11-2009 08:39 PM

sarah is/was hot

stickyfingerz 03-11-2009 08:49 PM

Sigh I actually enjoyed the show, and it was just starting to get good.

Knight Rider was garbage. Heroes isn't too far off at this point.

I just hope they don't shitcan Chuck.

Marcus Aurelius 03-12-2009 08:03 AM

Hopefully soon.

StuartD 03-12-2009 08:05 AM

Yeah, the transforming car was cool and I liked the digital read outs on the hood and stuff... but the show just didn't have much of a chance.

I mean, they tried the Team Knight Rider thing in 2000 and that didn't even last a season. People just don't want to see a talking car anymore.

nico-t 03-12-2009 08:28 AM

i saw an episode of that last week... show doesnt have an identity, the lead is played by some boring dude, just a standard cookie cutter character... and kitt, the mustang was just a bad choice of a car with a voice that brings down any action scene, like the dude doing the voice is in a spa, relaxed as hell.... and the in-car scenes, the original was at least on a trailer on a real road, these in car scenes are in a fucking studio, so damn fake...

Exactly... if you think the "bing bing bing" of the seat belt indicator nagging you to put on your seat belt is enough to drive a stake through the engine, having it talk to you about every little thing would want someone to fire a rocket launcher at it.

Ugh.. now I have the Knight Rider theme song in my head. Make it STOP! :disgust

ShellyCrash 03-12-2009 08:38 AM

Are you serious? Knight Rider was never cancelled. David Hasselhoff walked away. It ws the most popular show on television. Frankly, I can't believe you don't know this.

Last years was going south in hurry, but this year they seem to be pulling it back together.

It's not Knight Rider awful, but it's definitely not the "Must See" show it was the first season.

alexchechs 03-12-2009 08:58 AM

Yep I agree. To much bullshit on stuff that could never happen in the real world.

Puremeds-J 03-12-2009 09:05 AM

wikipedia is the source, which nbc maintains the page

ArcherJanvier 03-12-2009 06:41 PM

The premise was reasonable and the pilot wasn't too bad.

But NBC is to TV shows kind of like what Boyd Gaming is to Vegas, they kill pretty much anything that they touch.

Heroes was fresh and great in it's first season, but you can only recycle yesterday's glory for so long before people lose interest.

:(
