Continually amazed that people think it was one man that created everything, or that his administration had all the power to make it all happen.

Yeah he was in the big chair, but Congress has powers equal to him (in fact they can override his vetoes which makes them more powerful in certain aspects). Follow the blame game to Congress at the same time you make Bush out to be the anti-Christ. So thanks to Pelosi and Reid and even to Obama before he was Prez.

If his post presidency is anything like his presidency, I'm sure he's on vacation... I'm sure his friends and family are smart enough to not put him in a position of power at any of their companies (given his past reputation in such positions) but he'll likely still float around here and there in all that's been created through Haliburton, the oil companies and Iraq in general.

If myself and many others are right and Bush never did much care for Americans other than his close circle of friends and family, then I'm sure he doesn't really care what Obama is up to.

It was the Bush administration that didn't regulate the banks as they should.
It was the Bush administration that didn't regulate the SEC as they should and let people like Madoff get away with shit that he did even though they had information on him.
It was the Bush administration that killed 4000 soldiers when they send them to war for a reason that no one to these day knows except give money to Bush's friend and it was the Bush administration that wasted all that money on the war on people that still hate you rather then invest the money in the United States.
It was the Bush administration that fought green technology even though the American people were paying more for oil which lessened the money they can spend and keep the economy going so yes it was Bush that fucked everything up.
By doing nothing Bush did this to all the American people

An administration doesn't legislate/create laws. Executive Orders can be issued, but they of course can be countermanded by legislation from CONGRESS. The President can introduce legislation and he can sign/veto bills which have been approved by Congress. Congress has the power to override a veto by the President.

No Administration has the power to regulate. Congress does.

It was the Administration that requested the action to begin, but Congress must approve the action. Only Congress has the power to declare War, not the President. There are so many opinions about Iraq and not a single person has all the facts except the people at the top, and I doubt you are up high enough to be in the know. Not a Bush lover here, but also not stupid enough to drink the Kool-Aid of the opposition as well. I find myself in the middle of it all.

Oh God... you seriously think that it's just Bush that has fought against things? Not Clinton? Not Bush Sr? Not Reagan? Not Carter? Not the whole fucking lot of them? Do people not see that politics is business no matter who is in the Chair? Do people not see that Obama is pandering to political constituencies just as much as Bush or Clinton or anyone? He is being controlled by lobbying and corporate America and everything else just as much as Bush. They are all asshats, plain and simple.

Bush didn't fuck over America by himself. He's not that smart and he didn't have that much unchecked power. Our government has fucked over America, and that includes your and my Representatives and Senators whether Dems or GOP.

Seriously stop thinking this was all one man's doing. Read a fucking American History or Civics book and understand how our government works. The President is counterbalanced by Congress people. He can't do whatever the fuck he wants to unchecked. It's just not the way it works. I live in Arizona. I fucking hate McCain and Kyl because they are politics as usual. If you believe your representation is doing what's best for you and the country as a whole, then you are delusional as well.

Accepting that your people are in positions of power is just determining that you are OK with your opposition getting fucked over, and that's no different than it is now. When will we actually have representation that looks at things as good vs. bad, right vs. wrong. They are after all making judgements for 350 million people, not just for themselves or their states or their districts. It's like none of them understand that.

Obama is no different than the rest. He will not fix things, he will not change things, he will not even be any different. Same shit, different leader, that's all.

Allformyspace 03-12-2009 09:26 AM

I doubt he has anything to say besides "no more tax cuts to the rich"
I hope they impeach the fucking bastard and cheney

Kevin Marx 03-12-2009 09:27 AM

[nevermind}

StuartD 03-12-2009 10:01 AM

Bush didn't create it, but he did have 8 years to do something to prevent it compared to Obama's 3 months to reverse it.

Deesnuts 03-12-2009 11:12 AM

they wont foget the worst pres ever!

GatorB 03-12-2009 11:15 AM

Bush is too busy drinking Jack and doing lines to worry about Obama.

The Bush administration had the SEC chairman appointed, the Fed Chairman and in regards to congress approving the war, they never declared a war :winkwink:
It was Bush who really didn't want green technology because of his friends in the oil industry and yes it is all his fault the shit we are going through now.
He should have been more carful with tax payers money on people who hate your ass anyways. Instead of spending it all oversees he should have invested in America and given some to those who pay for it all through taxes.
