Now you need ffvb to completely remove the trolls from gfy and you've got a place where you can create about 4% of your overall business.

As a professional advertising guy myself......I enjoy seeing everyone's board spam...it keeps me up to date....gives me ideas etc.

yah, i will prob turn them back on from time to time to see what everyone is up to and keep me fingers on the pulse of gfy. no problems with anything really, was just curious, and my eyes are less distracted. cool to skim a lot of stuff at one time this way.

the noisy ads is what made me ad block. nothing more annoying than listening to classical music when you working all peaceful, and blammmm some asshole thinks its funny say some dumb shit like giggitygiggity goo. that shit annoys me to no end.

You can ignore trolls, even threads like contest threads.

And coming in v2, ignore individual avatars, sigs and also color options to mark threads or users in colors of your choice to find them more easily :thumbsup

how do you get rid of seeing the contest threads? i am lazy man.

I surf GFY with all the text blocked...

Right click on them, go to FfVb Management and choose "Ignore Thread".

If ever you want to put them back again, or put back ignored users... you just right click, go to FfVb Management and choose Settings/Options. In there you can manage all that you've ignored.
You can also set keywords to be ignored, and manage other things like the bottom menu bar. You can turn it off or change it's color... stuff like that.

I started blocking annoying ads with sound a while back, it progressed to skins that hurt my eyes and now all skins and board ads get get blocked automatically.

The speed increase is pretty impressive.

the people who use it are never going to click a banner. the banners are here for n00bs. i have never clicked a banner (on purpose) on this board or any board for that matter. maybe if they told assholes that you can't have music in your fucking flash banners, we wouldn't block them. i've been on this board since 2002 and i've seen every banner, more than the 7 times that orthodox advertising and marketing methods say a person needs to see them to remember it. i don't appreciate loud noises blaring from my speakers when i'm surfing this board. and how would you suppose that they would stop you from blocking banners actually? anyone with half a brain knows how to block ads and no board or site can do anything about it..

I have surfed for years with no images and will never go back. I did not know we had avatars for a long time. you can still see most of the sig. and you can click the links to see the nakid girls so what is the issue?

i have never surfed so fast on here. just having the option to switch back and forth is nice.

I can't believe that gfy allows companies to use annoying ass banners that bug the shit out of people when their mouse rolls over them. I love AdBlock because it makes surfing and doing business at gfy tolerable (well, almost tolerable). :winkwink:

a well known cam company lost any chance of me putting them on 100's of blogs for cams. really pissed me off that damn horn then the fucking giggity giggity shit. people can do that if you have no competition, but when you've got other people to choose from to send traffic you gotta be careful. now other cam companies are making out because they threw attitude and laughed at everyone who was highly pissed about being scared out of their chairs by that damn foghorn.
