What is a Console? (I am sure I have seen them 1000's of times, but still not exactly sure what it is that the term refers to)

What is a Cross Sale (again same thing)

I gather that they are both things that are somehow aggravating, but can someone please enlighten me?

Seriously tho, a console is a pop-up

and a cross sale can usually be found on the join form or members area of a paysite. Essentially, it is just an upsell to another website.

Cross sell = When you signup for one pay site but are automatically also signed up for other sites or free trials based on (quite often "pre checked") option boxes on the join form.

Console = a popup

Ok, I have prepared myself mentally for the possible self-abuse that comes along with this knowledge, please my friend, enlighten me...
