PR means shit all unless you are one of those guys whos income depends on selling hardlinks

It doesn't mean much to me either, but lots of people require good PR for trading hard links :)

It's a bit pain in the ass working on hard link trades with pr0 and waiting for google to update ...

so true. i've got pr5 sites that dont make shit and pr1 sites that kill.

pr = good for trading and selling, otherwise its not an end all be all thats for sure.

I stopped caring about 3 years ago when I realized my income isn't tied to it in any way, shape or form.

Officially, the 'big' PR update occurs quarterly, or approximately every 3 months.

The next one will be on April 6th at approximiately 1900 UTC.

PR seems like it can help in the very short 1-2 keyphrases, but is worthless with longer tail. We have a 100,000+ pages with PR 0 that rank #1 (or at least first page) for the exact 3 word phrase that we went after.

As said before, not that I care about it too much, but to trade decent hard links most of the sites require higher pr....

PR is not always the key to anything.

Certain phrases when searched on google using the FF SEO plugin show sites in order of PR.

Others i've seen a Pr -0 beat a PR6 to the top of the listings.

Pretty much gotta call bullshit on this one. Who counted the 100,000 pages and made sure that all 100,000 search terms were different?

its probably too late to affect this update. but thats not a good reason to put up the inbound links

yep pr doesnt necessarily mean google rankings, however it helps to have a good PR since link traders dont like trading with PR 0 sites.
