Cheney: Obama detainee policies make US less safe

Just read this on Yahoo news.
The guy really thinks that his and his boss's moves actually made the US safer. The policies that Bush and Cheney put in place actually made more of the world hate us and cause a rise in resentment to the US possibly increasing terrorism against they united states.
So good reediness Cheney :thumbsup

Didn't 9/11 happen on Bush's watch?

Thought so.

LiveDose 03-16-2009 09:39 PM

It's way too soon for Cheney to be commenting negatively on Obama. Politics has changed so much recently...

Doesn't he have some other friends he can shoot on a hunting trip.

You are going to hold it against a guy for shooting a lawyer?

Bush Administration Succeeded In Iraq, Cheney Tells Sunday Talk Show

Miami, FL (AHN) - Former Vice President Richard Cheney told a Sunday cable television talk show that the Bush administration accomplished almost everything it sought out to do in Iraq since the United States invaded the country in 2003.

"I think it's my general sense of where we are with respect to Iraq at the end of now, what, nearly six years is we accomplished nearly everything we set out to do," Cheney said on CNN's State of the Union Sunday. "We have succeeded in creating in the heart of the Middle East a democratically-governed Iraq, and it is in fact what we set out to do."

Cheney called out the press and critics of the Bush administration to acknowledge the gains made in that country, including falling levels of violence, Iraqi troops taking over much of the security situation there and democratic elections.

"But I would ask people, and the press, to take an honest look at the circumstances in Iraq today, and how far we've come," Cheney said.
.. didn't he say he knew were the stock piles of WMD were ???? no mention here .... :1orglaugh

DirtyDanza 03-17-2009 08:40 AM

the man speaks the truth....

Wow now thats a suprise - Cheney doesn't like Obama - shows then that USA made the right choice in the direction they are heading.

Worldwide USA was considered a bully - now - there is more respect and less tension.

You can't live your life in fear nor your country, stay safe but that doesn't mean you need to be assholes about it. Keep up the good work Obama

Jon Stewart nailed it last night when he said
"Cheney has doom tourette's"

In an interview with ABC a month before leaving office, Cheney said that the Bush administration would have invaded Iraq whether or not Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction because Saddam had the "capability" to develop them. The Bush administration invaded Iraq in 2003 on intelligence that Saddam was developing WMD. No such weapons were found.
War criminal ... no better then the germans that "liberated" Europe...

Same shit, different assholes :2 cents:

He's only demonstrating what his real problem was with Bush INC :

The inability to see reality and to stick to stupid shit and defend it because
admitting to a mistake is too hard for someone who has deemed himself to
be supreme.

They have to bash Obama because they have nothing good or smart to say as a republican :winkwink:
No suggestions on how to help the economy and no good ideas on how to move the country forward with good world wide relations so they have to attack and take the heat off their back for the last eight years of fucking up everything but the whitehouse kitchen.

Tom_PM 03-17-2009 09:45 AM

Cheney is like... an ink stain on a document. It may be in ink, and it may be on the document, but after just a moment you realise it doesnt belong there and you can ignore it because it doesnt represent anything of significance.
