I quit

driving four wheeled vehicles that is.

was a nice day today, so I went out riding for a few hours on my motorcycle, and holy fuck.. I am never gonna drive anything with more than 2 wheels ever again..

What a fucking blast.. the rush.. the wind.. Wooowwweee!! :)

I've ridden around my neighborhood a few times in the past couple weeks to get the hang of things and feel the bike out, etc.. but today is the first time I actually left the neighborhood and hit the open road and highway... OMFG I was scared shitless on the highway when I first got on it, LOL.. everything seemed so much faster.. I could feel every crack and crevice in the pavement.. every vehicle, pedestrian and object was potential death waiting for me.. Amazing that the percentage of assholes on the road is much higher when I'm on the bike than when I'm in my truck, lol

When driving my car or truck, people on the road never fucking wave at me, but today on the bike, most of the other people on bikes wave.. many of them pointed down at the road, but fucking beats me what that means.

So, few hours later I come home, and my whole body feels different.. all tingly and, man.. fuck all, I'm gonna ride this fucker every day :) Feels fucking GREAT!

Unless it's raining or snowing of course..

Guess I'll wear this puppy out for awhile until I'm more confident in my abilities, then I'll be aiming for this nice Harley I have my eyes on.. fucking wish I did this many years ago.. all the fun I missed .

I recently got my first street bike also, and like you, kept it in the neighborhood for a bit lol. But yeah, there is nothing like going for a lengthy cruise on a nice day. Gets me out of the office now and then.

noone who works in this industry and quits ever announces it... so I knew this would be about something else

Babaganoosh 03-18-2009 03:27 PM

Helmets are for pussies. Don't ever wear one.

Ozarkz 03-18-2009 03:36 PM

Imagine if all drivers waved at each other. lol that could be funny.

The arm pointing down is the most gratuitous wave man. Pointing down is like giving you a peace sign but clearly showing they are not a hippy and acknowledging you. It's a compliment... I hope you responded with another arm pointing down to the ground :thumbsup Left arm obviously as your passing eachother from opposite

It's the mack daddy of greetings!

Yeah for sure! I like the fact that majority of the other bikes do that also. Kinda like the jeep thing, when you own a jeep wrangler everyone waves at you also (around here anyway).

The only reason to have 4 wheels is 4 wheel drive. Pretty much all bikers will wave at each other. Love lazy Sundays just riding and Cafe Racing. ;)

Yea just like a little kid getting a new toy for Christmas! Makes you not want to do anything else for a long time untill it gets boring.

Only a biker knows the feeling :D

baddog 03-18-2009 04:40 PM

It means "keep the rubber side down."

BlackCrayon 03-18-2009 04:41 PM

ive always wanted a bike but with so many retards on the road i just doubt i;d feel safe. at least with a car there is a bunch of shit around you to absorb the impact.

collegeboobies 03-18-2009 05:15 PM

You mean, left arm obviously as your right is on the throttle.

Just because it is somewhat common in the US does not mean it is in Bangladesh or anywhere that bikes are such an ordinary part of life. That would get real old, real quick. :2 cents:
