what has more artistic merit
children's music or country music or TV commercial jingles?
|
none of them
|
i can think of 3 jingles that i enjoy. I can not say the same for the other 2 options.
|
Country music of course.
Just not pop-country. |
|
I'd say the television commercial jingles, it takes talent to write music that will define a product and sell that product.
the other two, there could be exceptions, but overall not so much |

a childrens country music tv show ringtone

OK this thread is going to bring out retards that are going to hate a WHOLE genre blindly... I can just tell.

None of them, please!

You guys are getting "like" confused with "artistic merit"
How can "none of them please" be an answer to "who has more artistic merit"? You're asking someone to not let these three things have artistic merit? |
the television commercial jingles

A blue painting or a red painting or a yellow painting? Just wanted to make the logic of your question clearer. |

i should have said 'new country/pop country' - because of course Johnny Cash and a lot of other traditional country and country rock musicians were brilliant.
|
I prefer "I'm lovin it" to "Ring of Fire"
|
As long as it's not polka i can groove to it...
|
country music, think it's the most artistic
|
Mmm... hard to say. Probably country music, but I hate so much that song that I canīt really say...
|
A long, long time ago, children's music wasn't the commercialized crap it is today. For example, this was originally a children's song.
Or look at the next one. While exceedingly corny, it is at least somewhat classy. And now compare it to the utter shite that gets made for kids today. |

If your answer is none, then consider that you may not know what is required to do either and thus not trully able to determine their merit. |
Some newer country really isn't that far from soft rock
|
Country music sucks. Tv jingles are more annoying than good. I once would have never liked Childrens music but Sponge Bob Song, little einstien, mickey mouse, and handy manny grow on you.

one doesn't need to be able to do something to be able to critique it and surely not to have an opinon about it - does the world's top wine critics grow grapes and make wine? does the literary critic write novels and sell them? does the movie critic produce movies? no. and a critic is better when he does not attempt to - because then he begins to sympathize and his critques get skewed by 'i know how hard it is, so i will cut this movie some slack since i know i couldn't have made it better myself' |
I'm going with country...
