Hi everyone has anyone got any ideas on these site rippers and how to stop them at all
had two so far.

Contact Ray at bettercgi.com (support_AT_bettercgi_DOT_com) I think his StrongBox can block them.

Strongbox has a couple of methods to protect against ripping, but
that's not it's main focus. Throttlebox is designed specifically to make
ripping the site impossible.

We're also big fans of appropriate unobtrusive watermarks.
If someone is going to steal your stuff and post it everywhere,
AT LEAST get a little advertising out of it.

You will probably get some other suggestions, too, things like
bits of Javascript and 100 other things that people have tried.
Those are fine when they help keep honest people honest, but
try this test. Using Internet Explorer, bookmark the site and
choose "make available offline". You'll see IE start to rip the site
regardless of any Javascript that's supposed to make right
clicking harder or whatever. That shows that 99% of the suggested
methods can be easily defeated without even using real ripping
software or doing anything special to circumvent them. Most
suggestions will go entirely unnoticed by the people who like
to rip sites, not slowing them down for a second.

funny thing is on this board you got people looking to stop them and people looking to download the latest scraper script or buy custom one to scrape your site lol
