Vodka time......Ketel One for me.

What kind is your favorite vodka?

:)

BobG 03-21-2009 04:06 PM

Goose, Chopin...

sicone 03-21-2009 04:07 PM

Grey Goose

After Shock Media 03-21-2009 04:09 PM

Well start with a bottle of like Kirkland vodka. Then split like 4 Madagascar vanilla beans in half and throw them in the bottle. Shake like fuck. Let it sit for like a couple weeks giving it a shake every few days. Then strain it and put it back in same bottle.

Also works wonders if you do the same with a bunch of lime or lemon zest.

Hangar One

Goose & Ketel are shit in comparison!

potter 03-21-2009 04:47 PM

Oh, and the lime infused one is the best. That straight up on the rocks. Nothing beats it.

Tito's Vodka for me.

Only vodka distilled 6 times. Tito's rated 96 / 100 on there scale. Edit: also a bargain at $17 per 1/5 or so.

I agree 100% - If you are going to mix your vodka with ANYTHING, then buy the cheapest vodka they sell - it will not make any difference whatsoever!

I've been drinking vodka for over 20 years, and for years I bought into the expensive vodka hype, but it's total bullshit!

Vodka is the only drink that is rated the highest when it achieves the least amount of taste. If you are mixing the vodka with ANYTHING at all, then spending under $10 a bottle is exactly what you should do.

LiveDose 03-21-2009 07:45 PM

I have two bottles of Ketel One in my freezer...

Here's an easy experiment you can conduct: When you finish one of them off, refill the bottle with the cheapest vodka you can find. Then invite your friends over for Bloody Marys. I guarantee not one of them will notice at all! The only difference is you will have extra money leftover.

Ross 03-21-2009 07:51 PM

Grey Goose or Ketel 1.

Agreed.

I have been on a Tito's kick myself lately.

A good quality vodka, without all the pretenious crap.
No fancy painted bottles. No diffused flavors. Just clean, crisp vodka ... from Texas of all places.

RoCkMaN 03-22-2009 03:39 PM

Smirnoff baby!

Finlandia, Absolut, Smirnoff :thumbsup

kmatic 03-23-2009 10:14 AM

I'm a gin drinker, but when I was working for the president of Ketel 1 he made me a martini that was amazing. Ketel 1 is filtered in a way that leaves it with little after taste much like gin.
