If you like the movie the fast and the furious and you're older than 16

You have a major problem.

Carmine Raguso 03-29-2009 10:52 AM

I agree 100%

baddog 03-29-2009 10:54 AM

Whew. Thought it was just me. I have tried to watch it a couple times but 5 minutes seems to be my limit.

MaDalton 03-29-2009 10:57 AM

i would need to shoot myself first before i could watch that

Why would you TRY to watch it more than once in the first place?
Why not give up after the first attempt?

Carmine Raguso 03-29-2009 10:59 AM

Vin Diesel is like 70 years old now right?

Because I was channel surfing and it came up on one of the channels. If I am channel surfing it means nothing good is on, so I give the other stuff a chance.

cykoe6 03-29-2009 11:05 AM

I am gonna have to agree with Frank on this one.

nico-t 03-29-2009 11:05 AM

damn i actually kinda enjoyed the first one :Oh crap
i admit the acting and characters are over the top MTV style but the last crash scene is as good as car crash scenes can get!

Nicky 03-29-2009 11:18 AM

Oh man, Vin is not gonna like this thread ^^

Ozarkz 03-29-2009 11:22 AM

#3 was on last night.

I love auto racing and anything to do with cars and girls.. I admit the movies are cheesie but their are no other movies like it..

The race scenes are obviously interesting.

If you are older than 16 and enjoy ANY hollywood flick you have problems..

2MuchMark 03-29-2009 11:45 AM

Actually, there is a semi knock-off of The Fast and the Furious called TORQUE.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0329691/

To get an idea of what the movie is like, check out this clip:
https://youtube.com/watch?v=Cmyb6rlH88M

and

https://youtube.com/watch?v=ufst7CaF-v0
Impossible stunts - impossible camera angles - CGI galore - but it works.

Think of it as The Fast and the Furious, but on Motorcycles. wait -

The movie is dumb as hell, but WOW is it fun. It stars ICE CUBE and several hotties and is just over the top style, gags, and fun fun fun. It sucked at the box office and hated by critics but it is a much better movie than The Fast and the Furious (the opening scene even makes fun of FaF. GREAT Editing too.

There is even a girl-on-girl motorcycle jousting scene!

Rent it.

dav3 03-29-2009 12:11 PM

I went to the movies to see that first one. Being a GS-R owner at the time, I hated the movie after the first scene when JaRule boned the race in the integra.

This new one has fail written (and sung ie. soulja boy) all over it.

Killswitch - BANNED FOR LIFE 03-29-2009 12:15 PM

The first one was ok, but I agree with the rest. Lets hope this new one is as decent as the first.

seeandsee 03-29-2009 12:20 PM

million %!

Joshua G 03-29-2009 12:45 PM

are you kidding?

#1 was a pioneer. Tokyo Drift was an instant classic.

Excellent casting, cars, & dialogue. One of the best movie franchises ever. Just wish the ladies had bigger tits & a lot more nudity & jiggling.

:thumbsup

Ross 03-29-2009 12:53 PM

I got my reserved tickets for the new one coming out Friday!!!!!

mynameisjim 03-29-2009 12:56 PM

I never liked those but I do want to see that new Crank: High Voltage movie which is probably just as bad. The first one was stupid but I was entertained and laughed the whole time I watched it.

Rakie 03-29-2009 12:56 PM

You know if they made a new one that revolved around racing and story, and I mean, decent story not bullshit effin' around story... Maybe it could be good.

I was pretty young when the first one came out, about 16 actually I think, and I liked the idea... But it was poorly executed.

The original Gone in 60 seconds has a crazy car chase, anybody not familiar with it might wanna give it a try.. I'm talking a 40+ minute car chase easy... Good stuff.

Belinda 03-29-2009 12:57 PM

I have to say I liked the first somewhat the rest couldn't stand.. glad they are going back more toward the first one. Not running to the theater to see it or anything but I do wanna watch it.

CarlosTheGaucho 03-29-2009 11:52 PM

5 minutes for me as well

Yet it's still a Bergman compared to this movie:

This was actually so bad I HAD to watch the whole thing!

I was so fascinated, it was without a doubt the dumbest modern day douchebag / cars / bikes / tits / overstimulated effects movie I've ever seen.

I only watch movies released before "Matrix" ever since, if there is also the danger of using those super animated effects.

Bring back Steve McQueen!

are you over 18? :)

the movies are incredibly cheesie just as most hollywood "action" (I'm not even sure if that's the correct category for this shit) movies in the last decade or so.

Antonio 03-30-2009 02:23 AM

I could easily add 10 more movies to that list - like Batman1, 2, 3 ...199 and the LOFT crap

bausch 03-30-2009 02:41 AM

Well, I'm almost over 30 and I love the movies Clueless and Mean Girls and the Spice Girls. What does that mean?

Closet Gay.

tony286 03-30-2009 07:28 AM

thats too funny

pornguy 03-30-2009 07:46 AM

The cars and race scenes were good. The sister of the main character was hot and that was it..

I actually expected the movie to cause more race issues than it did.

With all your other problems liking those things really doesn't amount to much.

Those people are some of the worst actors ever and the dialogues are fucking horrible. Was this a joke or what? You can't be serious right?
