Selling Pizza via Twitter (VIDEO)
http://abclocal.go.com/kgo/story?sec...bay&id=6735511
This works great for communicating with people who are already fans of your pizza shop and using them to 'viralize' your marketing message via Retweets. The OBVIOUS problem of course, is that beyond this initial pool of locally recruited people who are GEOGRAPHICALLY LOCALIZED, you have no control re who follows. This is solved by SELF-SELECTION but twitter ads spread like viruses quickly specially if one of your followers is a social media octopus (many influence tentacles) like Guy Kawasaki.
So, for geographically localized products and services like Pizza--twitter and social media may be useful (within limits). For non-localized DIGITAL products, it's amazing!
