Dont you have to install a toolbaar or something?

Toolbar yes, but I don't know anyone using it.

I read once there are a lot of Koreans with a toolbar

AFAIK, they have to have something installed on the user's computer in order for it to track it. Free software is sometimes supported by installing things like Alexa in them.

SearchStatus is the Firefox plugin. It also does google page rank. It's pretty useful.

If I'm correct both Yahoo and Google toolbar now support Alexa...
