Spam me with..........!!!! [Are you retarded?]

i don't understand why people insist on creating these types of threads everyday.

its almost always nobodies. no one is impressed that you "need stuff" and that you are trying to create the impression that you have shit going on and that you matter. making 50 sales reps embarrass themselves to try to appease a worthless turd isn't fair to them.

... and frankly, if you're too dumb, too naive, too inexperienced or too lazy to figure out where to get what you need, who has what, what works best, or just really have no idea where to start other than starting a thread on a forum which is the same as not trying,... then you're not worth anyone's time as either an affiliate or business partner.

/rant

<<cue the tards who will of course retort with dumb remarks like "you gotta start somewhere" as if no forum has a search feature and Google is just too complicated to figure out>>

dav3 04-02-2009 06:21 PM

you gotta start somewhere!!

Ice 04-02-2009 06:25 PM

I understand your point but it does show what company is willing to work with you for your traffic.

Klen 04-02-2009 06:27 PM

Actualy i will open one thread soon.I know sponsors can be find on sponsor list sites but they not giving much info so this is only way to get more details.

Sly 04-02-2009 06:31 PM

I have started those threads and posted in those threads. Both times much success.

Ozarkz 04-02-2009 06:34 PM

Hunting shit down is actually a hell of a lot more annoying than people making spam me threads.

Is it lazy? or just effective use of time?

AlCapone 04-02-2009 06:35 PM

I think they would stop if GFY would add a "Resources Directory".

HookUPcom 04-02-2009 06:36 PM

I can say that they do work as well... Even if the one who starts them doesn't do shit with 'em... Sometime it does help the self promotion and others notice.

And I agree with you.

thats a great idea. but there are also tons of resource directories. i mean thats pretty much the first thing you get used to doing when you get into online biz... figuring out where to find shit.

do people really not know where to find lists of sites by niches, or content providers or designers or not have the slightest inclination to try to do their own homework to find out which dating sites convert best (or whatever) without begging for spam.

i'm not saying that there is not a time and place for it and there are some things that can't be easily researched. but the brainless "spam me with teen sites that convert" - where only reps and sig whores weigh in, or whatever is very moronic.

definately the latter
still have one of my threads like that bookmarked
we all know searching for the exact thing you need takes a long time, so why not make a simple request? dont see anything wrong with that.

Si 04-02-2009 07:12 PM

New programs launch, you may not know excactly what people have on the sites etc...

If i can't find something, i start a thread.

I noticed the past 3 weeks there have been over 10 "big tits" spam threads WTF?

lol.. of course.. everyone does it.. got good hosting deals out of it...

but... what's the deal with "/rant" threads? Most of them if not all of them are pointless and I'd venture to say, most of the time made by people who just need a hug... :2 cents:

:upsidedow

stickyfingerz 04-02-2009 08:30 PM

You can search and find things of course, but there are new companies, new offerings, new relationships to be made from a new thread like that, and its more than just the OP that benefits. Sometimes it might trigger an idea to someone reading the thread, get that person to hit up a rep that offerers their services in it, etc. There has been many times I've been looking for something and seen a thread like that already made that day, and I hit up those in the thread making offers too. Kind of what a "forum" is for. There are always slightly diff needs etc.

CDSmith 04-02-2009 08:38 PM

"Fucking around and Program Discussion"

I think it falls under program discussion. Never did care for the "spam me this" or "spam me that" MO, but I guess I always figured whatever works for you. Like others have said at least it does show which programs have active reps here willing to work with you, which ones have the specific tools and features you might need, and of course which ones are hard-up spammers that can't read or understand plain English.

J. Falcon 04-02-2009 08:50 PM

it's the backbone of gfy

tony286 04-02-2009 08:52 PM

I dont see how they are a problem, if there are threads I dont like I dont read them. :)

Snake Doctor 04-02-2009 09:01 PM

Alot of those threads are just "hey look at me I'm actually in the biz" threads.....but they can be big time savers.

For instance, alot of programs you have to sign up for before you can see their ad tools. So if you want to know who has real RSS feeds and who just exports their hosted gallery list via RSS...and who has a good tube clip dump script and who just has zip files of content you can download and use on your tube, then you either have to get information from your bros on the board.....or you have to signup for every damn program in the world in order to see if they have what you need.

So "spam me" threads have their place here.

"Would You Hit it" threads on the other hand......

Socks 04-02-2009 09:09 PM

I've used them to generate a database of long term site passwords that I use on our review site. (Hey btw, if you have a program, you should send me a long term password, so I can add it to my database... y'know? [email protected])

I see what you're saying though. I've often wondered why people don't just use review sites anyways to find stuff to promote.. I mean it's all categorized, rated, you can see the girls, you have a good idea of what the site is about... 99% of the time I take my sample pictures from the members area (we only use a few per site, rarely ever been an issue) and so you can see what the quality is like on those too.

Plus really, are you looking for a PROGRAM to promote or a site? Guess it depends on your application, but I think the quality of the sites should play a factor in where you choose to spend your time.

SBJ 04-02-2009 09:13 PM

I have what you are looking for! see sig :winkwink:

haha but really I don't mind them and have added many webmaster referrals to my referrals by adding links to those types of threads if they aren't looking for what my program offers..

Now the ones that ask for the same thing that has been asked for a million times every week gets a lil old though

DaddyHalbucks 04-02-2009 10:11 PM

You have a point, but sometimes the threads do catch new programs and ideas.

martinsc 04-02-2009 10:17 PM

spam me with anti "spam me with" threads

Sometimes when your looking for a highly niche product, like gay midget tranny porn... you gotta throw it out there...

It's the easiest way to find out people who have the really weird niched traffic.. or people who have RSS feeds that you can use..

Like I didn't know that you called them "morphing" RSS Feeds.. so I was searching an assload.. "Changing RSS Feeds" "RSS Feeds that auto change"

I posted the thread.. found out "Morphing" was what they were called.. signed up under a few people.. and I"m sure a few other people learned as well :)

I think it's fine for NICHE or specific promo tools..

V_RocKs 04-03-2009 06:01 AM

Nah, that's what the sports/politics/drama threads are for.

Me looking at tits during my 20 minute GFY/Coffee break is like a programmer looking at code during his.

Scott McD 04-03-2009 08:19 AM

People moan at a lack of Biz threads on here though. So i don't see a problem to be honest.

It's not like every couple of threads you have someone asking for spam. Just don't click the link if you're not interested.

Contest threads which seem to run for months at a time on the other hand.............. :disgust

Darkcrni 04-03-2009 08:22 AM

People just asking for help! Wtf is wrong with that!!!

Exactly why I do it, I'm not gonna signup for 10 sponsors to find out they don't have the tools I need, because I couldn't see them before signing up, then get spam from them on a daily basis because of it... Not to mention previously noted. Why signup for a program that isn't active when you've got 100 others scrambling in these threads to get your biz... :2 cents:

To be perfectly honest... People who complain about threads like that, which have a slight relation to the biz, but turn around and post retarded stuff, is way more useless. :2 cents:

Unless the girl being paraded about is available for hire and you're looking for one that is.

Then it becomes 'work'. :D

The issue I have with "would you hit it" threads is that if I have a new model I want to showcase (and I had many back in my shooter days) I already know that at least a certain number of guys are going to be willing to "hit it", so why the need to ask? My only question is "Is she marketable?" and in the case of just about every prospective model on the planet the answer is YES. :1orglaugh

I care not whether the rabble here would hit it or not. The real Q is would your surfers hit it, enough to whip out plastic? :D

Programmers btw look at tits on their break. Doesn't mean I want to go look at code on mine. :winkwink:

ZeroHero 04-03-2009 09:59 AM

why not ? :winkwink:

i get your annoyance, but for every 'spam me with.. ' thread, there is 20 people searching for that niche.

i don't post for the one person, i post for whoever will be looking at that thread for the next year or so

yeap.. yeap.. I have also discovered some pretty good sponsors like that.

I will agree that those threads can sometimes be annoying but they don't annoy me as much as the contest threads do ... :2 cents:

Elixir 04-03-2009 10:18 AM

I have started those threads too, useful for me..

TeenCat 04-03-2009 10:20 AM

i must tell you i havent found in that threads nothing new ... i have much more new sites from other sources than from gfy ... and i am sorry but i am not spamming the threads, cause once i will, the rare websites will be pushed by everyone here and i cannot compare with whales here ... just wanted to tell ... :)
