Dealing with many designers since long ago i can explain - if the designer is top notch - he can do just about anything, but finding those are like finding rare gems (top notch I mean), then there are designers who can do descent both ways, others if they used to make cheap paysites/tgp/galleries/banners and been doing only that most of their time - they won't perform well in other areas, and the same goes for mainstream designers - most of them are not capable producing decent adult designs without some practice and understanding of market and audience expectations.
But I'm sure you know this already ;)

I think this is still a valid specification to make... some "adult" designers couldn't make a mainstream site without using big pink bubble letters and cum splat shapes. :winkwink:

I would say most adult designs are easier. Mainstream requires a bit more of reflexion and some adult designers can only do adult. My :2 cents:
