That is cool. I agree there are so many deals to be had on storage these days.

clickhappy 04-04-2009 01:40 PM

and not only that but they dont require a powercord anymore. Theyre powered right through the usb bus. I cant believe how much has changed.

Yup, data storage is cheaper and cheaper every day, I can't wait when pen drives will be 128GB and 256GB with reasonable speed :) It's a perfect solution to keep all the stuff secured in one place.

$60 for 250 is too much you coulda found a better deal.

Yes they don't require power but some of them require 2 usb plugs very close together.

or at least 1 high power usb.

Just don't drop that thing!

Indeed. I bought a 1TB Toshiba drive for 100 euros. It rocks.

Man, I'm so jealous. I wish we had that kind of pricing here in the Philippines. To get something close to that pricing, people would have to buy their personal stuff in Singapore.

farkedup 04-04-2009 04:29 PM

yup thats a laptop hard drive tossed in a case, I've bought 700Gb drives in the $70 range a few times.

It depends what kind you get. The one you got is meant for travel, the one I got is not... 1 TB for $130.

Hell, I've seen up to 64GB flash drives.
I just bought a 1T for $100 from newegg.com, but it's got its own power cord.
