ICQ dropping messages

Well I'm back from Phoenix and after being offline for several days and then turning on my ICQ I always get a few "did you get my last message" ??

Unfortunately, no I didn't. Please resend.

And I take it this is still a pretty common occurrence with most of you and lost messages?

SykkBoy 04-06-2009 11:49 AM

yup, constantly and today has been really weird...people popping on and offline like a big revolving door...

Tom_PM 04-06-2009 11:52 AM

God yes it's so damn annoying. Today it kicked me off for a half hour for no reason it gave other than "oops ICQ has a problem".

I also love when I send, and it says "failed to send message" in red, so I ask the recipent "did you get that" and they say YES!!!!!

POS!

Shoot me an icq, let's talk about it

Jayvis 04-06-2009 11:56 AM

It happens to me constantly. I'll have my ICQ on all day in the office and then when I get home and sign on I'll receive messages from earlier in the day that I never initially received in the office. How in the hell does that happen??

Loch 04-06-2009 11:58 AM

I was knocked off with my partner for about 30 minutes. Couldn't log in or anything. Now we are back on, but I keep holding my breath.

It's the newest version of ICQ

use an older version they are a lot more stable.

when I used the new one nothing but problems, but I switched back and it's all good

Lykos 04-06-2009 12:18 PM

For most of the time it doesnt delivere offline messages:(

LAJ 04-06-2009 12:23 PM

OK good to know i'm not alone.

Sucks tho.

Nothing I hate more than missing important messages and seeming like I dropped the ball!

_Richard_ 04-06-2009 12:24 PM

usually happens to me if the person isn't on my list

DivaShane 04-06-2009 12:26 PM

Just about every one I know is having ICQ issues. I've been pretty lucky so far not to many issues. We'll see how long that lasts.

michael.kickass 04-06-2009 12:32 PM

ICQ is still a litlle bit far from being a reliable communication's platform :2 cents:

Dear adult industry, learn to use reliable modern instant messengers...

LAJ 04-06-2009 01:01 PM

You'd think after all these years the bugs would be fixed.

But then again... I'll stop complaining... after all it is free.
