What is Twitter LACKING?
 

What is twitter lacking? Honestly, what would make their site even better and something people wont hate cause it's so fucking boring.

Ican't login, and a lot of services like find your friends through facebook etc are turned off to conserve bw.

A point. That would be a missing feature.

The only thing they are missing is the sale deal to google.

The same guys started and sold Blogger to google many years ago, this is their second brush with 'destiny'.

It's missing about a few features that would make it a marketer's wet dream come true. Better for marketers than it already is now. Of course, these features can be tweaked so that consumers benefit as well. There is a win win situation.

Twitter makes me feel like an old lady who just doesn't "get it." Darn kids and their pointless narcissism! <shakes fist>

I was a little misinformed, the creator of Twitter (Jack Dorsey) partnered up with Evan Williams and Biz Stone and they combined, released Twitter as its own company.

Both Stone and Williams were involved with blogger, and Evan Williams was the 'creater or founder' of Pyra Labs (blogger).

Either way, these fellas have blogging, web2.0 and social sites in their blood. They as a whole are largely responsible for the popularity of such mediums like blogging, and even coined the term 'bloggers'.

Hell even they admit what it is lacking - a business plan.

Don't need one these days.

If they add too much, people will stop using it. I think minimalism is the point with Twitter.

I just took another look at Twitter, and DAMN if it isn't painful to read the pointlessness of it all. This is just stupid hype by a bunch of dumbasses in the media who need something so dumb to get hyped about and a public that is even dumber... I clicked on a few pornstars twitters and honestly haven't found anything this boring and hard to even read for a minute or two in a long time

The only people reading Twitter are fellow spammers so at least it keeps them all in one place.

It lacks an auto kill feature to instantly remove users from the gene pool.

How does twitter make money? They are also paying for the sms they send out

I agree. the simplicity and minimal time investment needed to keep active on twitter is a huge part of it's success.
