and it will be my last! way too tedious, must take days to do more complicated and detailed ones. maybe a tablet would make it faster/easier.

Did you use a Tut to do it?

It just looks as if you hit the Trace function in illustrator. *shrug*

i did read a tut on DeviantArt before I tried it - but if I did what the person who wrote the tutorial did it would be days of endlessly making paths, his was much more realistic looking with more detail and shading.

there are Photoshop tutorials that are quick dirty ways using filters to do vector style art that aren't bad - plus there's VectorMagic which is an amazing tool for converting bitmap artwork and photos into vector format.

DeviantArt has some excellent stuff :thumbsup

I'll have to have a look for it.

sorry, that can be done, and so can Vector Magic trace a bitmap - but I created everything with the pen tool.

3-4 hours - somebody who is good with the pen tool could do that in half the time.
