Anyone have experience advertising on Facebook?

They have PPC advertising that you can buy.

I have ran a few ads on Facebook. The people at Facebook think their traffic is a lot more valuable then it really is from my experiences. Granted, it is still very possible to run profitable Facebook ppc campaigns.

Cool, going to try it. and have you ever met anyone selling traffic who didn't think it was worth a ton even though they couldn't make it work.

:winkwink:

they turned us down. I think you have to be pretty vanilla

Don't expect the same volumes as adwords/yahoo unless you run a ton of campaigns. Non adult mainstream products do best, but it's tricky, the traffic is pretty add savvy.

Seems to be quite a bit of traffic but getting certain type of ads accepted is very hard. Pretty much up to the person on the other end to approve/deny. Most people submit the same ad 10 times and eventually someone accepts it.

they have awesome traffic, love how you can select so many options/demographics.

I must be a dope as the demgraphics stuff did nothing for me.

too much kids :)

I advertised on them a few years back, before MS bought in and they changed ad review process. Decent results. Harder to get ads cleared now, in my experience.

:2 cents:

I just got a myspace acct not sure what to do with it . I have facebook also. They are kind of useless to me being that I am kind of anti social. But if getting my website noticed takes signing up for both well than I have:2 cents:

slapass 04-14-2009 02:52 PM

Myspace has the same thing but it seems it is f'ed up as I was unable to make an ad but they already charged my account twice... yippeee!

It depends on what kind of campaign you're running and what service/product, you're pushing: are you doing arbitrage, collecting leads, sending them to incentivized pages, or sending to a sales page/sales tour? Just from experience: running an arbi campaign using FB traffic is very dicey.

slapass 04-14-2009 04:54 PM

nope selling the product in the sig. FB cost is too high for arb imo.
