paysites with testimonials on tours
 

Why are there so few paysites with testimonials on their tours? Would probably make things sell a bit better with a few "real" testimonials on the tour pages. What do you think?

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that viewing adult material is generally deemed a 'private matter.' Testimonials using fake names may not have as much of an impact as testimonials with "real" names in mainstream sites involving less 'private' products/services.

Maybe members don't like being cross-billed or exits or upsells that sites dont have testimonials from anyone that joins...

I've seen one paysite with a community that has testimonals from members (nicks) rolling on different landing pages and I think it's a good idea. Real names would be too much to ask for.

Because people know testimonials are bullshit.

I update my "email of the day" on my own site with a fresh testimonial once a week or so. It seems to help. Or maybe it just strokes my ego. Anyway, I do it. :)
