Who here works out or plays competitive sports?

Do you work out regularly or play any competitive sports?
What's your fitness schedule? Inquiring minds want to know!

:)

Mohawk Steve 04-16-2009 10:44 AM

I saw you there the other day, pink half shirt, orange sweat band, knee brace ... you need to work on your form when doing those lunges... and maybe wear underpants :(

What kind of jeans do you wear to race?
Do you always wear a helmet?
How many miles per hour do you drive on the freeway?
How many speeding tickets have you gotten?
Did you go to an all boys school?
What is the name of your childhood Dr?

Wow! I am impressed.
If I do a hike, 3 days of cardio & some weights in a week I feel like a champ.

I need to get on your workout schedule but can't seem to find the time!

Meeper 04-16-2009 11:49 AM

I paintball and also play volleyball. :thumbsup

Profits of Doom 04-16-2009 12:01 PM

Five days a week more or less depending on my schedule, 2 days of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, 2 days of Thai Boxing, and 1 day of Western Boxing.

My oldest niece is a softball pitcher so now that softball season has started I guess I have to include getting into catcher's gear and letting her hurl fastballs at my head a few days a week...

While standing in the squat rack?

LauraLee 04-16-2009 12:07 PM

I play pocket pool.

I ride my bike 5 days a week and walk atleast an hour a day. 2 days ago I took my first yoga class (loved it) and plan to work that into the weekly routine.
In a week or two it will finally be swim season, and I will be doing that as well 5 days a week.

BAKO 04-16-2009 12:10 PM

I take my dog on a hour walk every night :)

I hit the gym at least once a day, sometimes twice and I play softball 4 nights a week. I recommend playing a sport. It keeps you active and you have fun at the same time:)

Joshua G 04-16-2009 02:04 PM

just finished a 6 piece original recipe bucket.

Anthony 04-16-2009 02:35 PM

5 to 6 days of Brazillian Jiu Jitsu, if I can, 2 days of Muay Thai.

I stopped lifting cause I was getting too big, and too gassed sparring. :(

How do you motivate yourself? and what time do you go to bed!!?

davecummings 04-16-2009 03:09 PM

I jog/brisk walk 25-30+ miles a week, usually over a 6-7 day period; play volleyball every Thursday I'm in San Diego.

It's easy to do the above here since the boardwalk and beach areas are very populated with eye-candy to help pass the time/miles. Last week I did 34 miles.

Does masturbating count as exercise?

After sitting on my ass for three months in a non-weight bearing leg cast, two things motivate me. First just knowing I have the ability to move and workout now is huge (like being 16 and just getting your license) and if that doesn't work, I stand in front of a full length mirror, naked. :helpme

I usually hit the sack about 10pmish.

DAMNMAN 04-16-2009 05:06 PM

Gracie Barra Jiu Jitsu 2 hrs a night 3 nights per week. (Getting your ass kicked 3 times a week is hard workm haha) >;-))~

Redmanthatcould 04-16-2009 05:14 PM

I masturbate thrice daily, but usually only break a sweat when I'm not concentrating.

The only time I'd call it "competitive" is when we go double dutch rudder style, and see which of us can make the other come first. Nothing gay; it's just what straight guys do when they are bored.

Too cold for golf? Double dutch. Too windy for tennis? Double dutch. Don't feel like swimming? Double dutch. Here is a perfect example of a fierce double dutch competition:

SordidMedia 04-16-2009 05:16 PM

Train in my garage most days (full of heavy duty equipment) and have always lifted heavy weights and stuck to the basics such as squats, chins, lots of pressing exercises and curls.

My wife says I`m addicted to training and she is probably correct. :)

bronco67 04-16-2009 08:30 PM

I haven't worked out since the beginning of winter, but I play competitive softball in three leagues.

I can snap back into shape in about 3 weeks if I hit the gym.

ExLust 04-16-2009 09:47 PM

I'm a babysitter.

GhengisBong 04-17-2009 12:38 AM

Raf1 04-17-2009 01:22 AM

I go to the gym three times a week and go out running with my dog whenever I can.

JimmiDean 04-17-2009 03:55 AM

However I am now to old and brittle for that stuff.
I still wakeboard when I can find the time.

NinjaSteve 04-17-2009 03:58 AM

I play volleyball. I don't work out at a gym. I do some pushups and situps at home, do a lot of walking and biking, and eat healthy.

MichaelP 04-17-2009 07:15 AM

Is Paintball considered a competitive sport ?

Hey Jimmy Dean I try to reach you these days :winkwink:
