Vic20 is crappy hardware so there is no sense to bother with it.

Socks 04-19-2009 11:07 AM

Ahhhh, the days of being a total outcast for just owning a fandangled typewriter.

I used a C64 quite a bit, but have fonder memories of my neighbours Tandy 1000.

BlackCrayon 04-19-2009 11:38 AM

here is the laptop, or portable pc (as they called it) that commodore actually put out. my dad had one of these things and they weren't too bad.

actually they were 25 lbs, no battery, a shitty small screen and not 100% compatible to the C64.

Someone out your way, I want to say Germany now owns the Commodore name and it trying to market higher end laptop systems. My dad is building their trade show exhibit.

This Ben Heck mod is sweet though, too.

FlowerKid 04-19-2009 03:00 PM

Wow, that's a very cool project, i love it. Especially the floppy emulator with the SD card he used is amazing.

My first personal computer was a Radio Shack TRS-80.... The Trash 80.
No hard drives, B/W monitor, chain of floppy drives, and Visicalc software.
Worked the bitch to death.

ContentPimp 04-19-2009 10:59 PM

I'd so buy one!!
