In 37 years, that has never happened to me.

Went so fast that my shades blew right off my face. I glanced down to the speedo and the act of looking up again was all it took.

Instant blindness.

Ozarkz 04-19-2009 05:57 PM

Yah? And?

LatinCams 04-19-2009 06:01 PM

So ur Blind Now ? lol

Nah, it was temporary. Kind of messed with the rest of the ride as it was westbound into the setting sun.

Jman 04-19-2009 06:15 PM

One motto when ridding, always have a few pair of shades

halfpint 04-19-2009 06:20 PM

lol I did a similar thing on my trike I had. I lost my bandaner down a motorway.

woj 04-19-2009 06:21 PM

how fast were you going?

»Rob Content« 04-19-2009 06:23 PM

More important why were you checking out your speedo when riding? Have some wood going on?

Spunky 04-19-2009 06:24 PM

Don't drive so fast

DirtyDanza 04-19-2009 06:25 PM

37 years you still wear a brain bucket? that shows your intelligence

btw I did not know they made walkers that went fast enough to blow your glasses off.... LOL

on a side note.. that does suck... were they nice shades?

NinjaSteve 04-19-2009 06:44 PM

Let's assume you have a 0 deductible and they were some $800 name brand shades. Will vehicle insurance cover sunglasses in an incident like this?

HookUPcom 04-19-2009 06:49 PM

Luke... feel the force.

I was trying to catch up after playing Boy Scout.

Saw a guy kill himself on a bike trying to play catch up in the city a couple years ago...not pretty at all:warning

Joshua G 04-19-2009 07:30 PM

one time, at band camp, this guy stopped his bike so hard, the back flipped up, but he didn't flip over. It was so cool!

That's not fast at all.

I always wore a full helmet with a visor, so this was never a problem for me.

Raf1 04-19-2009 11:21 PM

that's why I always wear full helmets. You look cool in shades, but it's just too risky not to have a full helmet on. I went down twice over the years and luckily I had solid gear on...

It obviously was too fast for the shades . . . and if I rode rice I would wear a full faced helmet too.

Really? How many times would you have landed on your face?

Vicious_B 04-20-2009 07:41 AM

I had a contact blow out of my eye while riding bitch even though I had sunglasses on. I had the guy pull over in case it was stuck to my eyelid or inside of my sunglasses and he asked if I was going to look for it on the highway. Smartass.

mineistaken 04-20-2009 07:44 AM

drive safe :)

Nicky 04-20-2009 07:55 AM

I want to buy a bike this summer but as usual I'll spend the money on booze and gambling.

Killswitch - BANNED FOR LIFE 04-20-2009 08:04 AM

Man, I can't wait to get my ride this summer, I had one 2 years ago but got rid of it when it just sat. Always had fun flying down the interstates weaving in and out of traffic.

I used to wear contacts and it was a PITA, especially at night.

They must have revised the handbook. I carry an extra pair in the bags on my dresser, but they are for a chick. I have never known any guy to carry multiple pairs of shades with them for a ride.

I probably would have laughed at them if they did.
