You left out all the dog owners who dress their 4 legged pal up in clothes, and little hats.

Then let them run around in a moving vehicle at 70 mph (no cage) just waiting to kill someone. I especially like it when the owner is also talking on a cell, eating a big mac, and smoking while driving. If you call that driving.

I told his mother when he was 6 weeks old I would always take care of him, been through a marriage, several girlfriends, a few homes but he's the ONE stable thing in my life.

I have no idea what I would do without him.

sounds to me like you need a new pet...

you're mostly right - people whose ONLY friends are animals have psychological/social issues - that's alot different than somebody who says that their "best friend" is a pet

what those people mean is that their best friend pet is totally dependent on them, like a child, returns unconditional love and gratitude to them and is always there for them - which is a lot more than you can about human friends usually.

exceptions would be old people who have no family nearby or family that ignores them and their friends are gone - for them pets may truly be their best and only friends.

Pets are a good investment....I look at them as an additional food source in the event of a nuclear war or something equally catastrophic...

I have a dog, he is my 24th best friend LOL

I don't trust or like humans - and rightfully so. My cat has never let me down, flaked out on a meeting, stole from me or lied to my face.
