ADVICE: Sirius/XM Talk Shows....Who's EVERYONE Listening To?
I've already spent some ad dollars on Howard, Opie & Anthony and Ron & Fez.
Are these still the top shows? Who's the shit now? Raw Dog Comedy Channel? Bubba The Love Sponge? |
Well, I got XM to listen to 'The System', but now that that's gone, I've kind of migrated to 'Area.' I can't say I have found any DJs that I like on the network.

I love me some Ron&Fez. Sometimes I listen to O&A, but not the others.
|
I listen to Patriot and the Left station as far as talk goes.

I assume since you are looking to spend more of those ad dollars, that the investment paid off, but I always wondered about the ROI of ads on the Howard Stern show. Is it extra to have him read the commercial live and pretend he loves your product? |

Also, what channels are these guys on? 100/101 are Howard.. not sure about the rest. |
None of em. If I'm listening to anything on XM it's just music
|
I usually listen to Bubba from 3-7 PM.

Jason Ellis on Faction
|
the Jason Ellis show on FACTION is better than Stern in the same comedy/shockjock style
listen to the Metal station alot too when Ellis isn't on :2 cents: |

I loved the Porn.com live read they did on O&A. They talked about having enough porn on the tour to jerk off a few times over. |

I listen to Howard in the morning, after that it's pretty much octane all day.

I have finally become a Bubba fan. I was turned off to the show when I first listened, just seemed like a bunch of Larry The Cable type guys attempting to be Howard imitators. But I gave them another shot and they actually have their own thing going and I like it. It took me a while but now I think the show is hilarious. Ned is one of the funniest characters ever. Still listen to Howard (what I originally purchase Sirius for) but I think the shows have been lacking lately. Not sure what it is, but they are slow paced and guests haven't been that interesting as of late. Jason Ellis is good, a man's man. Barely listen to him though. Other than that I'd be open to hearing opinions on some of the other talk stations available. I heard your spots, Don! I'd imagine they worked out fairly well for you? |
encyclopaedic author Ian Christe does an absolutely amazing job on his show "Bloody Roots" on the hard attack Metal station..... it is like a university course on the important history of heavy metal music and even those hardcore metal fans can learn something pretty much every show, and it is must listening for the newbs that like metal but maybe are younger or haven't learned all the roots and important influences...
the guy really knows his stuff :thumbsup http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ian_Christe |
