Isn't there a GFY member here living in BELIZE?
 

I'm going back to my home away from home, Belize, on May 1...I remember someone here saying that they lived in San Pedro....I'll be landing and staying in Caye Caulker but I want to Go to San Pedro maybe Saturday the 2nd or Sunday the 3rd and party over there....

Whoever that person was, can you either post here or hit me up at 'howardugrad AT yahoo DOT com' so that you can point me in the right direction?

I just watched "Ross Kemp on Gangs" on Discovery. He was in Belize checking out the gangs. Apparently 5x as many gang members per capita than in LA. uh-oh

Hey BVF, I'm here in San Pedro.. I know we're having a massive party at Jaguars nightclub here on April 30th as May 1st is Labor Day

dude seriously, it's major propaganda.. yes there are gangs, but the implication from Ross Kemp's show is that you should stay the FUCK away from Belize City or you're gonna get a hand grenade thrown at you or something.. it's BULLSHIT

Belize City is no worse than East Hastings in Vancouver, I've been there a few times and never had any problems whatsoever, and I'm female (which yes, does actually make a difference in this country LOL)

Of course, with so many cooler places to visit in Belize; like Caye Caulker, San Pedro, Placencia and the Mayan ruins as well as being host to the second largest coral reef in the world (excellent snorkelling/diving with sharks, manatees, sea turtles, etc), there are plenty of cool things to do in Belize without getting involved/exposed to the gang crap :2 cents:
