Movie: Fighting

The worst movie I have seen (and did not finish seeing since I walked out of the theater halfway through) in a while... and now I see on IMDB it has a 5.6/10 :1orglaugh (this is why I always look before I go, and made the mistake of not reading reviews on this before going to the theater).

Is anyone else a victim of this horrible excuse for a film?

Brother Bilo 04-28-2009 12:38 PM

No victims here, I saw the previews.

Definitely, I mean, I cannot even believe it was in theaters... they had one good actor in the whole movie...

What was soooo bad specifically?

Profits of Doom 04-28-2009 04:07 PM

I haven't seen this movie yet, and probably won't, but I can guess why it sucks ass. The problem with action movies nowadays is ever since MMA exploded most movies are trying to make their fight scenes mimic MMA fighting. Do I really need to see a guy throw a rear naked choke on another guy in a fight scene? Hell no, I want to see the stupid Steven Segal shit that I know will never work in a real fight, but is fun as hell to watch in a movie. I can pretty much see MMA 7 days a week now on TV, but when I'm watching a movie, I still want to see the unbelievable Arnold Schwarzenegger taking on 10 guys at once bullshit. Now that, to me, is entertainment...

dyna mo 04-28-2009 04:09 PM

the trailer proofed that.

D Ghost 04-28-2009 04:34 PM

yeah exactly, and part of the problem with it, was the horrible long, drawn out melodrama scenes with the not-so-great actors... then the actual fight sequence scenes were short as fuck, and the choreography just sucked ass...
