DJ Quik or a Hard Rock band for upcoming shows - need sponsors to step up - c'mon!
Well, we have some great things in the works. DJ Quik cut his price for us if we do the XBiz show. We might do that poolside. We also have a a venue if we decide to do a rock band, the Penthouse Club in Vegas. We're looking into Steel Panther or Sin City Sinners (another hard rock cover band like Steel Panther).
We're also doing a show for Cybernet, we have some rock band options for that as well. Maybe even a comedy night. But man, it's hard as hell to get sponsors these days. If you like events like Rock The Ball or the Players Ball, then hit up some potential sponsors and have them hit me up, or step up and get yourself a sponsorship. Parties happen because sponsors pay the costs. In return, sponsors get great exposure for the dollar. Callin' all players... SOS... Help!!! theplayersball at gmail or icq me at 83727286 |
Love DJ Quik, great entertainer, nice person IN person

ROI is hard to measure on parties and trade shows. Branding helps perception, this is why people do it. If you see someone is marketing all over the place, you assume they're kicking ass. When you sponsor a Players Ball or Rock The Ball, we provide the biggest party of the trade show, usually with about 80% of all attendees under one roof. Having an opportunity for all of those eyeballs to see your companies URL/Logo on big screens, talked about on the mic and marketed on the website and newsletter, seen on the passes which are issued to EVERY trade show attendee is pretty good branding. Anyway, thanks for the opportunity to better explain why this is a good deal for the dollar. |
The Player's Ball and Rock The Ball events have proven to be outstanding for us. The networking angle is great too!

Rock the Ball was a seriously cool event last year at Cybernet Expo... so I have absolutely ZERO doubt that there is great value in sponsoring a D$ concert/event. We packed the Red Devil Lounge, and I got I'd say 99% positive feedback from attendees. Everyone dug the band, and it rated very highly on our post show survey of attendees.
The earlier you jump on as a sponsor, the more promo you get... and the more active you are, meaning if you attend the event yourself, ask people if they had a good time, remind them who made it possible, etc, the better. There's a reason why there are certain companies in this business that you know and know well, and it's not because they hid their brand names and backed off of marketing themselves. When you sponsor a Players Ball or Rock the Ball, you get access to opportunities and relationships that you probably won't get if you're in the shadows. So definitely hit up D$ if you are even considering it and talk to him, see where it leads. There's some serious market share to be had for companies who take it while others are scaling back. |
ooh man dj quick ... i played him every day at my underground radio station ... it would be a xmas to see him live ... but wait three years, then maybe ... :) enjoy the show and say hi to quick from south moravia! :thumbsup

AsianDivaGirls.com will provide their hotties as Go Go dancers again for the night, nice to have ADG back on board!
|
D$ -- if you are thinking rock -- consider www.myspace.com/hdrtheband
We represent them so I can get you a deal for either XBiz or Cybernet. And they just got booked on Vans Warped Tour this summer. They played on the stage at AVN in Vegas in January and are big fans the industry. Let me know... |
When does anyone come out and say, "Who gives a shit?"
Stop trying to leach a buck off the ignorant fools who think you can produce something. It's actually bugged me that anyone would waste any money where you spew any event. Let me come out and say move on. |

hey NY Rangers-
Why don't you go fuck yourself? Better yet go fuck your mother. Haters are a dime a dozen. I bet you have never even seen the inside of a tradeshow let alone go to an event that is organized for the Players in this biz. But hey with 200 plus posts you must be in this business a long time and a REAL PLAYER on GFY! |
Man I was all excited about Badfish or the new Sublime :(

Question for you Darren: Would a Players Ball poolside be done at NIGHT when the pools are closed allowing for a "PRIVATE AFFAIR" for show attendees only?? If this is the case then this could be a Players Ball to remember :pimp _ |

Is this the same Dj Quik that did "Bitch Betta Have my Money" with AMG back in the day, or someone else who's using the the name now?
If it is, it's cool that he's still out there doing music:thumbsup |

I am sick and tired of people bashing me, my brother, and other endeavors out of pure hatred or jealousy. I am also tired of people who don't wanna use their real names in this business. If u have nothing to hide, then post as yourself. I may be the American Cannibal but everyone knows my real name is Kevin Blatt. I don't abbreviate my last name, I don't wear a mask, and I am very accessible to my clients and the industry. I feel more people should be like me. But- for whatever reasons these people who use fake nicks and don't use their real names shouldn't be in this business if they are ashamed of what they do, or for fear of their families finding out how they make their money. if you are one of the aforemnetioned kind of webmasters Get the fuck out of the biz, you are standing in my way :pimp PS 2257safe.com is launching next week. Be ready |

Funny too cause they have been a sponsor and their VP happens to be a great friend of D and mine that attends all of our Balls as well as I was at his partner's house for XMAS. Same company that took my business card idea of "Pick a Number" 1 2 3 4 and put it on their new banners for their program with my blessing :error |
