I just watched this last night. It's under comcast in demand free movies horror section.

It was pretty good. It's 2006 version of Sweeney Todd and it's not a musical.

Is the movie a musical?

I never saw the Johnny Depp version but I think it is. He sings in it. This one isn't.

Sweeney Todd is great movie. Depp is BIG actor , he can play in everything !!

I have a bootleg of this. Intriguing stuff. And Ray Winston is always good wherever he is in. :-)

I almost didn't watch the movie, because I saw the original show with Mandy Patinkin on Broadway (I know, I'm old lol) and it was so great I didn't want to ruin the memory.
But because it was Depp, I watched the movie - and it was fucking fabulous :2 cents:

The Ray Winstone one struck my fancy more than the Tim Burton/Depp one,

yeah.. there is no music, and it was much more enjoyable for me.
