Since we are in a pandemic, I guess zombies are next. So I have a question.
Zombies are inevitable, but I am afraid I am unclear on efficient eradication methods.
As I recall, werewolves take a wooden stake to the heart and vampires need a silver bullet. The wooden stake may work on vampires as well, not sure. I am told that Left4Dead implies that any bullet will take out a zombie, but as I do not have Xbox I can not confirm this. Can anyone confirm this? Will hollow points work or can I get by with cheaper ammo? Any info would be appreciated. TIA |

Left 4 Dead are Infected people
Not Zombies Zombies are dead and come back, Infected turn while still alive To answer your question, Any blunt force to the brain should take care of a zombie. Be Heading is a sure end game. |
You just have to stop the remaining trickle of brain function. Just don't get pounced by a flaming hunter.

I Jst realized BadDog would make a great Bill
You should audtion for the upcoming L4Dead movie http://th01.deviantart.com/fs40/300W...accelagirl.jpg |
and stay away from the Queen. lol

a shotgun will do just fine against a zombie. confirm its a zombie before shooting to avoid murder charges in the aftermath
|
well as per COD world at war, a B.A.R. seems to be a preferred method of killing zombies, and it depends on what level you are at as to how many rounds its going to take.

actually, you transposed werewolf and vampire...generally in the western tradition (with the exception of Irish myth) the unnatural are not fond of getting stuck with silver.
In the case of folkloric zombies from the Caribbean, they can be killed just like another human being, just one on PCP as they are under the control of a bokar (witch doctor) and feel neither pain nor fear. As far as the resurrected dead (be it through necromancy or some sort of virus) you are best off focusing on staving in the skull or full on decapitation (the Zombie Survival Guide recommends using the Monk's Spade, a polearm popularized by the Shaolin Temple around the 10th Century CE). When it comes to zombies that are resultants of an infection that suborns their higher thought processes but leaves them basically alive just homicidal, you can generally follow the same instructions for eradication as that for the voodoo zombie. Also, when in doubt, light them on fire=) |
You'll need to invest in a lawnmower.

Blunt force trauma and beheadings require I get too close. I would rather be able to do like I did during the Rodney King riots and sit in the garage with a cooler of beer and my piece. |

At your age, and still don't know how to handle a zombie? I'm afraid I'll have to be the one to take your face off with a chainsaw when you get over run by a hoard.

You need to cut them up into tiny pieces and burn them. Anything intact will continue to pursue you.
True fact. |
Don't you know everything?!
You have to destroy their brain. Vampires = stake/garlic/dontletthemin Werewolves = silver bullet |
Yep headshot is most effective. Fire works well too.

Shotguns

Fire Fire Fire...........Burn baby burn......seems to be the cure all and it is so so pretty

I just picked up "World War Z" today and I'm about 100 pages in, already the comparisons are terrifying. It's an amazing book.

I don't think zombies are next, I think the greys will fuck with us first, then after they leave maybe the zombies :2 cents:
a afaik there is nothing we can really do to defend against the greys |
|
just dont set them on fire.
then you've got flaming zombies. that is all i know |
I wonder if zombies still get woodies..

Btw BD, you have it in reverse. Silver bullets for werewolves, stakes in the heart for vamps. |
Actually, my money is on the vampire virus. Better read up on the Vampire Survival Guide. :thumbsup

Or, if you are a fan of shitty movies, a glass of water. |
Resident Evil is the T-Virus but they are zombie like and it seems plausible the government could create something like that.
anyway , a headshot or severing the upper spinal column should work http://www.zombiesurvivalwiki.com/pa...+Zombie?t=anon |

Signs was absolutely terrible. Aliens travel 80 bazillion miles and then can't knock down a flimsy wooden door...?
Totally weak. :( |

Could have been that wood was just as much a foreign and dangerous material to them as water. I mean, it is after all a natural earthbound substance. If they were so allergic to water then why eat humans though? we are mostly water anyway. |
