It was a cool interview until the end, where Dave decided a stupid joke was more important than allowing his guest to make what was probably a very interesting point.

agreed dave should shut the hell up sometimes...i really wanted to hear what Mr.Musk had to say

Dave is good at being a tool.

The important thing to note is that when you take into account the cost of fuel, this car actually works out costing the equivalent of a $35,000 gaz guzzler.

He has said it many times, usually just after mentioning the price in other interviews. I am 90% sure that is what he was about to say.

It was all pretty interesting. I just wish he could have made his last point, as it would have been infinitely more interesting than Dave's dumb electrocution gag.

Oh well, at least he was allowed on, and he got to show off his new car!

Dave's interviews are normally spot on. He adjusts to the guests - if the guests are idiots, they get treated like idiots. If the guests are intelligent, he scales up to give some great interviews.

I love the fact that he doesn't brown-nose anyone.

In any case: sucks that he gave a bad interview - sounds like he's really sick though?

Yeah, sometimes Dave's interviews are too uncomfortable to watch. If he really did lose millions in the Madoff scam I would still feel really bad for him though...

Thats all well and good but PEOPLE CAN NOT AFFORD THAT

Huge difference in putting out 36$ in monthly payments and then buying gas over 6 or 10 years to putting out 100k in one shot.
