I just find it interesting that all of the sudden, recession topic that CNN was broadcasting all hours of the day, has been replaced with swine flu, and my neighbors and everyone that was talking about recession 2 weeks ago, is now talking about swine flu.

You don't think it could be that they are just sensationalizing things (economy, swine flu, craiglist killer, etc.) for ratings do ya? Hell, they spent all day yesterday talking about 79 year old Arlen Spector changing parties. Apparently nothing else happened in the world.

Or remember the Anna Nichole Smith story. Her death was sad...but at the same time it apparently stopped everything bad in the world from happening for many months. There were no wars, no hunger, no crime, no economic news, not even political news. Just Anna Nichole.

Well let's see. If people are so scared to go out and spend money then what happens to a recession?

Ever since the swine flu broke out everybody thinks they are going to die, no need to worry about savings, bad loans, foreclosures etc etc anymore since you will anyway be dead before you are put on the streets :thumbsup

It's funny how they scare us with the recession, now they're scaring us with the swine flu. Always got something terrible to hold over our heads, ha ha.

I fucking hate the news and media so much. I quit watching the news like 6 years ago because of stupid tactics like this...

If anyone mentions swine flu to me in person during the next week I'm going to punch them out.
