Question for MAC Users.
 

Is there a key combination for MAC that's like CTRL-ALT-DEL for Windows?

Top left click on the apple andthen see Force Quit. I don't know what those key shorts are that are displayed there but.. those are them.. hope that helps!

Okay so I can use Command + Option + Escape to force close non responsive applications on my MAC.

So let me make sure I have this absolutely crystal clear. I get way less variety of applications on a MAC and they can be expected to perform in the same way as they might on a PC and require from time to time a force quit command key sequence.

+ your brand new mac may all of the sudden crash causing you to loose all your data after just a few months of little use...

I still prefer it over pc/windows though :)

The only Mac app I ever have crash and have to force quit is Adium. It crashes on multiple machines.

hahaha... I switched to a mac about three months ago. I can do anything if not more on this thing than I ever could on a pc. There are programs for everything that there are for pc and generally they are 100% more stable and have better features. The only program I have ever had to force quite was some crappy little open source tool that I just deleted because I found a stable alternative. If you gave it a chance and spent a little time learning to use it and researching available software you would never use a pc again. The time saved by a mac is sic. Between the four or more desktops u can set up, crazy shortcuts, mouse gestures, ability to run about 50+ apps at the same time with no performance decrease (I haven't tried more than that) and a stable operating system you will get more shit done. Don't hate what u don't understand man.

I replaced one of my PCs about 6 months ago with a Mac Pro & 2 Apple Displays. A few days ago I replaced another one of my PCs with an iMac. I can't believe how stable these computers are and how well built they are. I'll probably replace my laptop this summer with a MacBook Pro. I wish I had done this years ago.....

use both pc and macs, i like PC more, windows is only as bad as the user makes it, if you are moron it will be bad.

I've switched completely to just a macbook, I don't think I'll ever buy a desktop again either. You are going to love it. If for nothing more than u get about 5 hours battery time on a single charge.

I have 5 pc's, most of the time rendering hundreds of animation frames, 24/7. They never crash. I don't get what you're saying.

Hahahah - funny. I flew from LA to Memphis on Christmas to visit the family and a guy next to me watched DVDs on his MacBook the whole way....4+ hours. I was like WTF. I'm lucky to get 2 hours of battery life on my windows laptop.

I'm not knockin' ya man. If it works use it. That's all I'm doing. This mac works for me. PC's work for u.
