sig spot :)

If you get the better processor now, you can change the RAM later. If you get the better RAM now, you can't change the processor later.

Right?

good point sly

grab a better cpu as long as ram can be upgraded

Im looked at the specs it looks I would be stuck with the 667 mhz ram but the faster cpu. Where the other one has 1033mhz ram.

Bear in mind that DDR2 and DDR3 RAM are not electrically compatible... you may be able to upgrade the DDR2 667MHz RAM to DDR2 1033MHz (if it exists in SODIMM format?) but you can't put in DDR3 1033MHz.

Are you basing "faster" on the clock speed or something else? I don't know much about mobile processors but given that the second link is using DDR3 RAM, a newer technology, I wouldn't be surprised if that "slower" CPU was also newer and actually had more grunt. :2 cents:

the cheaper one has esata port

John-ACWM 05-05-2009 07:03 AM

The one with the faster cpu seems the logical choice
