Why is adobe acrobat so large and take so long to install?
 

if its just a document reader it should be like 4 megs, what else is it installing on my computer?

it's install all shit you don't need, find some freeware reader that don't eat ram ;)

several reasons . i think every install also includes a prepackaged install , so half of it is itself repeated , you will find this huge file in Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat X.XX\Setup Files\RdrBigXXX\ENU

called data1.cab , you can delete this

The acrobat dll itself is 10mb , the rest is plugins

Use FoxIt Reader. Way faster, way less annoying.
