When A Girl Gives Birth......
Is it safe to eat the placenta?
Does it need to be cooked or can you eat it raw? |
you can eat it raw.
|
You can eat it raw (I would assume cooked is better though), I have seen people do it on t.v. Google British chef/foot writer Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall who famously made a pacenta pate for a new mother and joined in the eating of it on his show T.v dinners.
Here's his Wikipedia entry which mentions it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hugh_Fe...-Whittingstall |

yup and i assume so.

you can eat it raw (I would not) but remember it is blood and blood product rich so if you have any small cut in your mouth or gums (like from brushing your teeth) you have a perfect way to transmit blood borne diseases........most of them you don't wanna fuck with....hep, hiv, .....
but I guess if your gonna eat the after birth you probally know and trust the person it came out of.......... I would suggest a full body red wine like a big cab or ganach (unk spelling) and a side of antibiotics/antivirals |
you can eat everything that pleases you

Fucking sick. I saw two come out. That's not going anywhere near my mouth let alone in my mouth...

That's fucking disgusting. Why would anyone want to eat anything that comes out of a human? Is that cannibalism?

Siiiiick shit man.

Are there any recipe books out for cooking with placenta?
If not, who's up for a co-author? :D |
|
I know a local restaurant that has a deal with 3 local hospitals to have them picked up and cooks them like omelets and serves them
