Question for cyclists
Are the gay costumes mandatory or can you peddle a bike on the street without all the homo spandex?
|
I wear a pair of baggy shorts and a muscle shirt. I see these guys all the time with the full regalia; spandex everything, and it's obvious they spent the cash to get the look but to me the look is, well,
gay. Even a couple of gay guys I know think it looks gay. |

I used to cycle everyday. I used to cycle to training and for training everyday before my BJJ training. Those shorts have padding and are constructed where they wont rub off your ass and ball hairs. Trust me if you go 10 miles with normal underwear and shorts, it will be the last time you will ever want to cycle. Its that rough without the right gear.:2 cents: |
You wouldn't go surfing in snowgear right?
|
you dont have to go full spandex suit, it just really depends if you are one to chaff when riding or not and it wouldnt give as much benefit unless you are doing a century ride (100 miles) .. if you dont chaff in a pair of shorts and a tshirt there is no need unless you have a carbon fiber bike and need to shave every second off your mile
|
Don't you roll around with sweaty guys as part of your BJJ "training"?
Just saying. :winkwink: |
If you get chaffed from your seat, you'll be wanting the spandex after you heal up and stop walking funny.
You can always just buy the shorts and wear them under your other clothing. |
Get a decent enough seat and there's no chaffing issue.
The seat on my mountain bike rocks. |
