Planned your summer vacation yet?

We just booked ours yesterday. We are going on a 9 day 'Lochs and Fjords' cruise in July that will take us around Norway and the top part of Scotland. I have never been on a cruise before but we got a really good deal and the landscape appeals to me.

Where are you going this year?

Sosa 05-11-2009 07:09 AM

Probably no where this Summer

FrozenJag 05-11-2009 07:11 AM

hmmm havent thought about it yet or booked. About that time of the year again though. :)

Last year I took my chick out to cali since she had never been before. Flew in, grabbed a rental and pretty much went wherever sounded fun for a week all over the state. Then flew out. Got engaged up on that mtn on the north side of the golden gate bridge. Was hella fun.

Cant wait for this year! hmmm

when you're self employed, you don't really need to 'plan' vacations in advance...

You do when the other half has a normal job and also when you want to get a decent deal.

Sharky 05-11-2009 07:41 AM

My summer vacation is off to all the shows/conventions/gatherings. I am planning a trip on Thanksgiving to NYC with my kids though;-)

Twistys Tim 05-11-2009 08:47 AM

A week on the coast in England at a cottage, and then a week in London with the family.

Achmed's Wife Halimah 05-11-2009 08:49 AM

Halimah will be a tourist in her own city this summer

candyflip 05-11-2009 08:53 AM

We do an annual trip to Orlando/Disney with the entire family. We actually booked this year's trip while we were on the trip last year.

We're also going to Mexico this December. Can't wait.

baddog 05-11-2009 08:58 AM

While my accountant would never consider these vacations, Barcelona and Washington, DC are two locations on tap for this summer season.

pornguy 05-11-2009 09:48 AM

Might be hitting either Spain, or some place in the Caribbean

Which coast? It is an island so we have a lot of coast ;)

Scott McD 05-11-2009 12:32 PM

Still not quite sure what's happening this Summer. The plans keep changing. We were originally booked for the Dominican Republic again, but cancelled that.

Got a few other options to consider but just not sure which will suit best. We shall see...

Yeah I take vacations whenever I feel like it :thumbsup

I guess I'll be taking one in June, and then a 6 week one in July/August, with a few weekenders to various costa rican beaches thrown in the mix.

Roald 05-12-2009 12:44 PM

in 5 weeks we will be leaving for Indonesia (3 weeks) traveling around Bali, Java and Lombok. After that we are staying 3 more days in Hong Kong, just booked the hotel an hour ago. Can't wait to go, I need a break!!!!!

baX 05-12-2009 12:44 PM

I'll be visiting some local mountains with my cross motorbike. Can't think of better way to spend the summer :-)

Right but presumably they usually actually have to be booked. Even self employed people aren't generally need a ticket to get in a plane or boat.

jaycontentbandit 05-12-2009 02:23 PM

No plans yet just got back from a cruise

TritonJL 05-12-2009 03:18 PM

Just booked my ticket to Ibiza Spain =) ... And hopefully some conventions this summer. Internext in FL probably.

Neither do I -- I was just typing as many stereotypes as I could think of for a seaside holiday in England. I should have added; rain, rock, illegal immigrants, etc. etc.

AAB 05-12-2009 06:52 PM

Iceland at the beginning of June :thumbsup

TeenCat 05-14-2009 04:00 AM

Ross 05-14-2009 04:57 AM

I don't have a vacation booked for this year. My gf wants to go to Thailand. We're going to Malta in June tho for 1 year so I might not book a vacation this year since Malta is gonna be like a year long vacation.

Or I might just book up to go back to Florida again! :)
