My Pitbull had puppies this morning.
 

Seven of the bastards, she looks happy, shes always tried being mommy to our neighbors cats and our new mini chihuahua and now she can be mommy to seven of her own.

No pics yet, she's to busy mauling them to clean them up and won't let me get any good pics, once she finally just relaxes I'll grab some.

Lucky for you that there's a huge white trash market that will buy them up. I can almost see the mullets and cheap, unfinished tattoos now. :thumbsup

Make sure she doesn't eat them. Seen that happen before with Rott pups.

Luckly for you we don't live in a white trash area and are VERY picky on who ANY of these puppies will go with, we'll be doing checks with not only the police department to make sure they don't have any previous animal abuse records, and also requiring refrences and screenings before they can even have the dog...

You sound like a very responsible owner. Kudos to you. Personally I don't like Pitbulls as I've had a couple of bad experiences with them. Sure your dogs puppies will be in good homes tho.

Ya I think most times when it happens the mother starts eating the afterbirth and just keeps going. Sometimes they snap like that after having pups. My buddy's rott ate 6 puppies when she gave birth. But they weren't around when she had them. Scary stuff when it happens.

Exactly, and I bet your dog is well behaved too, that's one thing I do... I may have a "agressive dog" but because of who we got her from and how she was raised, she won't even DARE attack anyone, because she knows better, she's a loving, gentle, good dog always has, and always will...

All but one of the pitbulls and pit mixes I've met have been incredibly friendly, good-natured animals. The one exception was a "fraidy cat"...terrified of everything, would jump in people's laps and curl up when a loud car would drive by, lol

Sadly, I had to put Jake down after he gave me the best 13 years of my life. To you point he was a gentle, loving dog who slept in my baby's bedroom while she was in her crib.

Any strong willed intelligent breed needs to be trained and worked with. If you have never had a dog, any bully breed would be a poor choice as they take experience to handle. so many idiots get them as a cock extensions or they have no idea how to train them and lack understanding of basic dog behavior.

Congratulations and good for you in taking the responsibility and time to find good caring homes for your new pups. There are too many irresponsible fucks out there that own these great big powerful breeds creating a negative image and spreading often largely false information around about them.

Anyone that knows anything about dogs at all knows that any dog breed if mistreated and or abused can become vicious, or simply can be trained to be such. Much of a dogs behavior can be attributed to it's training and upbringing and people that are unfamiliar with dogs or how their social structure works should probably not get any large breed especially a tenacious and often aggressive bully breed.

My little guy has been well socialized and trained so as to respond to hand signals as well as verbal commands and is ultra friendly to everyone and everything. He's just a big suck though even the cat puts him in his place

Can't wait to see pup pics! I am in the process of trying to adopt a pit mix from a local shelter. Would love to have a puppy but there are so many dogs in shelters that need good homes. All the luck with your extended "family"

Congrats on the new additions!! Glad to see you are responsible about what homes they will go to, that goes such a long way to making their lives better and keeping people safe. Ignore the haters, some people are assholes who have to have something to say about everything, but generally don't know squat about anything. Pitties can be excellent dogs, I remember when everyone felt the way about German Shepherds that they do about pitties now.. it's just fear of the unknown.

Actually no I'm not... I'm one of those people who think an animal should have its rights of giving birth at least once or fathering a litter of puppies/kittens/etc before having it's rights ripped from its paws... So we had our buddy who has another pit breed her so she can have a litter and then we're getting her fixed.


And regarding pics, girlfriend got some, I'll have them up sometime today.

It's always nice to read about someone who is taking the right steps to get the pups off to a good home.
