youtube is bull shit.

All my favorite channels are going down left and right. Seems if you're a little bit outside the main stream bull shit you get the axe now.

Here's a pretty twisted one that made the cut

"Did you or did you not try to flush me down the toilet?"

Sounds good to me........ the less interesting shit that is available for free on youtube the more likely that someone might actually consider paying for something.

yeah, the shift is starting, we will remember the "golden age of the internet" some day....

I saw a video on the front page of youtube (promoted I guess) and went to it, it was a huge company's channel, the video had 5 stars rating AND ratings were disabled.

saw a news story on google experimenting with some big changes in the way they will offer search results, expect that to turn more toward big money and paid results for what the average user will end up using it for in the future

I thought it was like that for quite a while. Even though you can often see some videos that if you were to upload, they would surely get removed.

You can't put it better than that. :) Last time I went to youtube I realized they were heading in the wrong direction.

they are being dmca abused. I think a few companies have figured out a trick.

ANY video will be removed if a dmca complaint is made, if multiple dmca complaints are made right after another the account is suspended with no ability to "counter" as the video is now gone.

Certain companies have just been randomly filing dmca complaints to have users removed. When i complained after having several accounts closed i had my account and videos re-instated , but they let the same company repeatedly do this, even though the videos are clearly inno way associated with the company filing the complaint.

p.s. the first legal dmca counter notifications i sent were ignored as well as several followup emails regarding the abusive filer. It wasnt until i stopped using the protocol they suggest and spoke as a human that they listened.
