I think I have a sugar problem. Where's fletch at.
Ok so that vegetarian thread made me think I should ask this here..
I love sugar. I sometimes get up in the middle of the night, go eat a handful (or three) of chocolate chips, and then go back to bed. I'm sure it's happened twice in a night too. I did cut out all soft drinks some time ago, I would drink 5+ cans of coke a day. I just drink water and milk now really. I find that with sugar if I have some, within an hour or so I'm back in the kitchen looking for more. If I don't really have any, I don't get that feeling at all. What else can keep me chained to my computer like sugar does? I guess that's the real question. And what's the role of sugar in my diet really? |
hey, how about you just cut that sugar splurging out and answer your own fucking question...
I mean, hi how ya doin... |
hit the gym and exercise more, you will feel better, and relaxed and will lose the urge for sugar... and your mind will be fresh for hard task of porn :)

It sounds as if you are insulin resistant... This means that when you have a carb or a sugar... your body floods itself with glucose... and you crave even more, sooner. Do you gain all your weight to your midsection, but are smaller elsewhere? Ways to combat insulin resistance... Have smarter forms of sugar... and say if you eat a handful of chocolate chips.. and say that's 32g's of sugar... then you need to have two low calorie cheese sticks of 14g's of protein to balance it out. For every 14g's of sugar you ingest... you need to be having AT LEAST 7g's of protein... This is a great way to battle insulin resistance.. or "syndrome x"... by balancing them out. The protein means you won't be hungry as quickly.. and the protein also helps how your body digests the sugar.. keeps your glucose levels from spiking... I don't know what a good subsitute is.. but I know you can add in some protein to your diet and maybe have the same energy.. without the cravings :) Just google "IR Diet" When I did this.. I lost approximately 6-8 inches off my midsection ;) and was really, really, happy :) It's just a bitch to stick with. |
