Hi, do any of you use a third-party traffic tracking service to track and report traffic trends to you? Or do you go with free tools or your own log analyzers?

on server stats (awstats mainly), and google anayltics

Do you manage your GA account(s) yourself?

Ok well sounds like everyone is using free services, is that right?

I tend to use Statcounter, which has a free or buy option (main difference is log size) along with our AWStats server logs, just for comparison sake. Throw in Google anals to understand on-site behaviour.

Can you configure your awstats to show referring urls, not just referring sites?

It's a permissions problem on their server. I don't get any errors. This isn't a hosted solution... you have to install it on your own server.

Actually, thats the default behavior.
