In case you were not aware...

The NRA is giving FREE 1-yr memberships to everyone who wants to join. They are trying to build up their membership to fight pending legislation that impacts our right to keep and bear arms. It is very important that anti-gun congressmen see how many people they will have to fight to get their legislation through.

This can also include spouses and children. PLEASE pass this information on to everyone that you know. It is truly our best chance of protecting our rights to bear arms.

Does anyone remember last time? it is all for show. No one is trying to take your guns. It is so amazing to me that american politics is all abortion and guns two items which can't be changed if we wanted to hardly so why worry about dumb stuff?

I support the right of Americans to own as many guns as possible! Every man, woman and child should own dozens and be encouraged to use them as often as possible.

Nothing amuses me more than Americans murdering each other with guns. They do it more than any other nation on Earth and it provides the rest of the world with non-stop entertainment.

I'm grateful to live in a country where you know if you cut someone off in traffic you'll only get a horn blowing at you, not a .45 round in your throat! :thumbsup

Persons who own a gun and who engage in abuse of intimate partners such as a spouse are more likely to use a gun to threaten their intimate partner. (Rothman, et al) It would appear that, rather than beign used for defense, most of these weapons inflict injuries on the owners and their families.

I don't mourn junkies who die from heroin overdoses, nor do I mourn Americans who die from gunshot wounds. They both brought it on themselves through an addicition to something very dangerous. You gotta pay the piper!

That is like saying if you drive a car then you will die in a car crash (because according to the statistics only a moron would drive a car after the number of crash related deaths, right?). You cannot judge every American who owns a gun based on the idiots who use them inappropriately just like you cannot judge every driver on the road based on the idiots who can't drive. :2 cents:

Hunting is huge here. Almost everyone I know hunts. I joined, even though I don't own a gun anymore :)
