http://www.google.com/products?q=vaio+bz without a doubt.

You'll be pleased. Pick up an extended battery for it though.

Donīt buy Vaio, the worst notebook of the market.

Go with Toshiba or HP.

My last two laptops have been Toshibas, and I like the Toshibas. I'm looking at a Qosmio x305 model right now. But I might have to up my budget a little if I want to start playing in that price range. i really do gotta say, I am pretty tempted to allow myself an extra $500 laptop budget and go for it. I'm not gonna go as far as a x305-q708 as they are way out of my range, but the q710 & q711's aren't too far off. I just wish they came with some alternative color options than that flaming red design. I'd like a 17" monitor.

Then on the other hand, I'm kind of tempted to just cheap out and by a Toshiba Satellite, which is an ok enough laptop at a dirt cheap price (around $800-900 now). That's what I'm on now, and aside from physically having been beat to shit, is still kicking and running well after almost 3 years. I like my satellite, I'd just like to step up to the Qosmio and have a laptop with some actual power inside it.

I seen an Asus with similiar specs to the Qosmio, and other decent 17" notebooks that can compare to the Qosmio x305 line?
